There is no rational reason to replace my '21 BS BL. It's paid for, functional, reliable, fast, great in the snow, low mileage. My wife loves the quasi-self-driving feature.

I wish it was bigger, mostly for the sake of my growing teenagers in the back seat. A smoother, more refined ride would be nice. That's really it, I still like the Bronco Sport a lot.

Yet here I am, ogling 4runners, Land Cruisers and 7-speed MT Broncos. Honda Ridgelines. Transit passenger vans. Old Porsche Cayennes. And pretty much any vehicle ever made with a long roof.

We don't have the money or the need for any of these cars, as my wife would quickly remind me. Why is it so hard to just be happy with the car you have?

Have same ‘21 BSBL with low mileage (retired). Every time my mind wanders to new cars/trucks I slap myself and repeat the mantra five times, “Paid for, runs great, perfect for me”. 🤪

If you start eyeing other cars, that's perfectly normal. If you start eyeing a Cayenne, you need an intervention.

Oh yea, I know all about depreciated German cars...I had an old Audi Allroad that my dad handed down when we needed a family car. It was one failed sensor after another, then the air suspension, then the fuel pump and a $750 tow bill after it stalled on my wife and kids in the middle of a busy highway. I'd never actually buy one but Cayennes are really nice inside and out and apparently pretty capable off road.

As much as I like my 22 Badlands, even I’m thinking about a Moredoor full size. I have a ‘23 Heritage Edition 2 door but if I had to replace the Badlands Sport, it would probably be a moredoor Badlands.

I test drove a Bronco with the manual transmission and it was so satisfying to row a gearshift again. That truck with Ford's 3.7 would be a dream. I'll get an EV before another turbo engine.

Did You mean 2.7 Eco Boost and not 3.7?

I guess it’s a 3.5 now. The NA 3.7 I have in my Transit is a great motor. Smooth power, reliable and there are many that have gone 300-400k miles without issue.
I had the 3.7L V6 in a 2012 Mustang. 300+ HP & 30 mpg, great engine.

I have the 7MT in the 2 door. Yes, it is a smooth shifting vehicle as long as you don’t treat it like a Mustang. It prefers a slow shift. No banging the gears in the Bronco.

I got my '25 BSBB in August, and have had a bit of buyer's remorse... mainly wishing that I'd chosen a higher trim package. I found a '25 Outer Banks locally and toyed with the idea of trading for that one... but being the tightwad that I am, and since my BSBB was paid for, I decided against taking the depreciation hit... pretty happy with the Big Bend, and will stand pat.

Then I saw an anti-matter blue F-150 Raptor on the road this morning... and, well, I might just be in love. 😳😳😳
