Didn't see my specific tire size addressed but I wanted to know if I put a 235/65 17 Falken Wild Peak tire on a stock 5 slot rim. Would it fit where the current smaller size spare is? I read you're supposed to remove the carpet and raise the floor one level. I see where I can raise the floor but I don't see any carpet in my 2024 Big Bend. Thanks in advance for the advice.

My new 2025 BB came only with a tire inflator. Not sure if this helps but I found a used Ford aluminum wheel and a slightly used Yokohama Geolander (225/65 17) tire. This combo serves as my spare and it fits perfectly in the tire well when the rear floor is raised to its upper position. In my BB, the "carpet" is the upper side of the rear floor.

Cheers

My '25 OBX has a real tire. Are we saying that the spare you get is determined by a trim level?

If that is a *yes* then....why? It's a spare.

It's been like this every model year. Used to be donuts or a full size spare depending on trim from 21-24. Now its tire inflator or spare depending on trim and/or SAS package upgrade.

Yes, that is a "yes" . The Ford dealer where I leased the BB wanted about $800 (Cdn) for a mini spare wheel and tire and the jacking hardware ! I politely declined !

So, as you say, it must be a trim level difference or Ford has decided BBs shipped to Canada don't deserve spare tires ??

Cheers

Ford Bronco Sport Spare tire question IMG_3339

Yes, it fits fine. Floor mounts in the top slot and is flush with the seats.

That’s strange. I guess you got lucky. My ‘25 Outer Banks didn’t come with a spare (I have 18” tires). I’m in the US. And Ford claimed they did not offer a spare for the ‘25 OBX

You have to add SAS

Ah, ok, that makes sense. I have Sasquatch on my full-size Bronco Wildtrak, but not on my Bronquito.

@Escape2Bronco always envious of that nut you printed. I'm still wanting to get a spare factory alloy and mount a toyo at3 and do the same.
I could probably make another. I’m retired now but still have access to a printer. I’d just have to see if I still have the design file or .stl.

I'm sure you could sell at least a few on here to members. Most likely works for multiple ford models also if you wanted to sell them on ebay or something.

I would buy one

My 2025 Big Bend has no spare. I asked the dealers online chat to get me info about what service dept could come up with. I heard nothing. I went to Harbor Freight and got a jack, tire iron and set of plugs. Better than nothing. I had a spare for my Ranger which I had for six years with no issues, now that I don’t have one I feel insecure about it.
