I'm probably alone here, but that looks so lame. its trying too hard and at the same time still boring. the customizable gauges on need for speed most wanted on the PlayStation 2 released in 2005 was about on par with this level of graphics. but you could customize them.

analog > digital

You are correct 8 is a number as far as I know. I was talking about the the round dial where the little hand moves the faster you go. It would be nice to see what it's pointing at otherwise why have a moving pointer that you can't tell what its pointing to. Anyway i was just asking because for a while my tach didn't show the numbers but one day showed up. Didn't know if it was a similar situation. The wonderful manual doesn't shed much light.

The round dial is pointing to exactly the same as the digital number for speed shown displayed in the center … right?

but the tach I thought on 2025s might be supposed to display a number as you stated you saw previously

I would have to go back to the dealership for another 2025 test drive

Not sure i understand but the moving hand is not pointing at any number. It moves as the speed changes but you don't know what it's reading. I understand the numerical display in the middle but why have a moving dial that you can't tell what it's pointing at. Whatever it is what it is I guess.

The moving part is pointing to a number but the mph number is hidden

the Speedo shows it goes from 0 to 140 with 8 “large ticks” (a graduated scale of 140/8 = 17.5 mph) - I pasted those #s on the Speedo dial for reference

In between are smaller ticks, 16 of those so 140/16 = 8.75 mph

that’s confirmed because the digital display shows 8 mph and the moving part is right at or near the 8.75 mph tick

all bets are off if the dial is not linear but you can test that by driving at 35 mph, 70 mph, 105 mph (if you dare - and I’m not suggesting you exceed posted speed limits)

i didnt even notice that, super weird. if you push the small button on the end of the lever to the right of the steering column (assuming 2025 is still set up this way) does it change anything? on the 2024 it turns on and off lane keeping assist. with it enabled the digital mph number is at the bottom of the screen and small. Disabled, the mph readout is centered and larger.

What?

The turn signal stalk is located on the left side of the steering wheel.

i didn't say turn signal stalk. but you are correct it would be the button at the end of the turn signal stalk which is on the left. the right is the switch for the rear wiper. i forgot what side its on since i turned off that feature and never turned it back on.

So the Normal display is no numbers on the dial, only the digital readout. Stupid? Yup, about as stupid as providing NO numeric value on the tach, only a general "somewhere around 1,000 rpm at idle" idiocy. Should be able to select digital, analog, or both for EVERY instrument display.

Sure wish there was an actual modifiable UI.

It's one of those things that also annoys me. There's really no point in having a configurable, digital cluster if you're going to so severely limit what you can do with it and what it will show. As is, there's really no point to having a speedometer dial at all.
