When you look at the list of vehicles affected it looks really bad but for example from below only 34,597 Bronco Sports involved as compared to the PCM/BCM software recall which included all vehicles from 2021 through 2023. It is really VIN specific so will need to wait and see after the owner notification letters come out after July 28, 2025 or check your VIN on the Ford website or with your dealer service department.

Part 573 Safety Recall Report Page 7 of 11
25V442
Vehicle 16: 2021-2024 FORD BRONCO SPORT
Product Category: Light Vehicles
Product Type:
Fuel / Propulsion: Spark Ignition Fuel
Production Dates: Mar 13, 2020 - Nov 04, 2024

Number of potentially involved: 34,597

Descriptive Information:

The Ford process is capable of determining which software part numbers have been installed in
production and service. Affected vehicles contain SYNC 3.2 R10 RC1 infotainment software.

These vehicles are not produced in VIN order. Information as to the applicability of this action to
specific vehicles can best be obtained by either calling Ford’s toll-free line (1-866-436-7332) or by
contacting a local Ford or Lincoln dealer who can obtain specific information regarding the vehicles from the Ford On-line Automotive Service Information System (OASIS) database.

I have no real problem with the recalls — just means Ford keeps fixing my BS for free for as long as I own it.
Back up camera’s nice, but we’ve become way to dependent on tech. I backed up for @ 43 years (first car I had w/backup camera was 2007) without one. I actually didn’t trust the camera for the first year I had it; kept looking to see if it was “right”.
That “swivel joint” at the top of our shoulders is among the best “cameras” I've found, you can see things along-side and behind with mirrors and head turning.
Just my 2¢ worth :sunglasses:

The grocery store parking lot is the place I find the backup camera and object detection to be the most helpful. Example: Impatient drivers zipping past while you are backing up and small children walking behind the vehicle, which with a high lift gate you are likely not going to see.

Even with the OEM backup camera, I replaced the OEM mirror with a WolfBox mirror dash camera with a rear camera so I have evidence for my own protection.

I use the backup camera as my fourth verification method after three mirrors and my eyes. Its best feature is the wide-angle view. TBH, my rear sensors catch things before the camera (or my eyes) do.

How have you been liking the Wolfbox? I'm looking at the same one (front & rear). Is it permanently mounted, or did you use the straps?

That’s odd for any Bronco Sport to be on SYNC 3.2 R10 RC1 infotainment software
SYNC 3.2 was released in mid 2017 and updated through 2018.

SYNC 3.3 was released in late 2017 and updated through early 2019.

SYNC 3.4 was released in late 2018 and updated through mid 2023.

How could there be any Bronco Sport vehicles produced with SYNC 3.2?

I've had a G850 hardwired in my '10 Mustang since December 2022. I used the straps in order to keep the OEM mirror which has the microphone for phone calls. Wolfbox sent me a replacement G850 mirror when I reported the compass would incorrectly report NE heading when traveling in the NW direction. They eventually fixed the compass heading problem in a firmware update. It's been working great, even in the Florida hot tropical sun.

I purchased an i05 for my BS as I had plans to install an auto dimming mirror from a '24, but found out the small headliner wiring pigtail in the '25 uses a completely different connector than the '21'-'24. Since I had a spare G850, I purchased the permanent mirror mount and connected the i05 rear view camera to the G850. To route the wire for the rear camera, I removed the overhead console and used a fish tape to pull the wire down the center of the headliner to stay away from the curtain airbags. I mounted the GPS puck near the top of the windshield and tucked the excess wire above the overhead console. I did run the included power cord down the A pillar making sure to not interfere with the curtain airbag squib wires. On the '25, the power port default timeout is 30 or 45 minutes. I changed it to 5 minutes so I don't have worry about excess battery drain with it plugged in all the time. The only downside is the rear camera is pointed through the tinted back glass which is OK during the day, but at night you get halos from bright lights. A small compromise since my BS is a lease. I didn't want to install anything permanently that could not be easily removed.

In summary, a dash camera is absolutely necessary to protect yourself from liability. Also makes me a safer driver since I know it could be used against me. I have no complaints with the Wolfbox brand of dash cameras. For anyone considering a dash camera, I recommend watching the following unbiased and technical comparison of dash cams.

That is why I always back into parking spaces, and my driveway, you always have the birds eye view of your surroundings, plus it is illegal to back onto a roadway.

That works if the parking lot has perpendicular parking spaces. Most malls and grocery stores where I am have angled parking spaces to maximize density since the lanes do not have to be wide enough to allow two way traffic, but that does not prevent some idiots from traveling the wrong way. I'll just sit there blocking their path and make them backup and turn around to teach them a lesson.
