Greetings.

I have a 2022 OBX and it is out of warranty at 98,000 miles. Recently my catalytic converter developed a crack and is loud as hell and smells of exhaust from the engine compartment.

Recently on 2 of the FB groups a Canadian member posted a recall for Catalytic Converter issues. It extended the warranty to 240,000 kms (about 170,000 miles) and mentioned parts would be available by end of 2nd quarter.

Will this be extended to the US market? My current safety inspection expires in October and I know it will not pass inspection as is.

I feel I should not have to pay for this seeing it is under recall. I was about to drop the catalytic converter and weld a bead over the crack.

Advise? Who's dealt with this?

Thanks!

He must be mistaken, when I did a search there is no catalytic converter recall that comes up.

Unfortunately the only one in my Ford Pass app is for driver side buckle replacement. Hopefully the extend that campaign to the US.

@Big Ben Are you positive it is Customer Satisfaction Program 25N03? I searched on this Forum and on the Internet and there is no references to 25N03 except yours.

Definitely good info and from my searching seems to apply to certain or all Canadian Bronco Sports (only) and I’m not able to locate the full technical details for 25N03

Do any of the Canadian owners have a link to the full details for ‘one-time catalytic converter replacement if failed Campaign # 25N03’?

The FordPass info in Post #8 is sparse info and the Ford letter in Post #9 is very brief.

Customer Service Program (CSP) details on the US NHTSA Site generally are pretty complete but of course 25N03 is for Canadian vehicles (so I would guess 25N03 will not appear on the US NHTSA Site).

I got mine in the mail the other day to go with my seatbelt one. I don't know if it is every BS or just certain ones that may have a different run of converters

I wonder why, they are all made in Mexico so its not a Canadian /US built thing. are the emissions requirements more strict on manufactures in Canada even though we don't have any consumer testing requirements in most of Canada? if that was the case I would thing at least Caili would have notices also..
