I'm tempted to order a 2025 but want to confirm that the 2025 is quieter than the previous years. I do understand I am technically driving a brick down the highway, but I did read that there are some improvements to sound insulation. Has anyone made this move and noticed a change? Would be nice to NOT have my mother bitch about how loud my car is while we are on the phone.

I doubt it is any quieter. Yours should have the hood insulation. There is a firewall pad and a glove compartment pad you can get but I added the glove compartment one and didn’t notice any change. I think the Outer Banks adds a bit more sound insulation plus you get carpet. It sounds like the cargo area might be carpeted as well. You tires will make a difference as well which would be another plus for the Outer Banks.

'25 Bronco Sport features significantly improved noise dampening compared to previous models, with added sound insulation throughout the cabin to reduce road noise at highway speeds; one of the key updates for the '25, allowing for a quieter ride experience.

Key points about '25 Bronco Sport noise dampening:
  • Increased insulation:
More sound insulation materials throughout the cabin, including in the doors, floor & firewall, to better absorb road noise.

  • Improved windshield acoustics:
Windshield designed to be more acoustically efficient, further contributing to a quieter cabin.

I see that you already have a Badlands BS. The Badlands trim will have the most insulation of all the trims. Most likely the 25 Badlands will not be any quieter. One item my 24 Badlands has that helps with the sound level in the cabin is that my front door windows are laminated glass. I assume your 22 Badlands also has the laminated glass. The last I checked (pre 25) the other trims had tempered glass windows. The laminated glass does makes the cabin quieter.

The problem is that when I saw that I have the laminated glass I tried researching where Ford was using the laminated glass but couldn't find anything in the order guide. I did find on the 24 and 25 order guide under Functional in the Badlands section " Interior Noise Insulation" which could be where the laminated glass is included but not specifically mentioned. Interior noise insulation being listed again in the Badlands section implies additional sound insulation not in the lower trim levels.

Ford and other manufacturers do have a habit of de-contenting features each new model year so I suggest that you test drive a 25 Badlands long enough to make an informed opinion on the quietness of the cabin compared to your 22 Badlands.

You would think Ford would use the same standard for door glass and rear hatch glass in all of the ‘21-‘24 Bronco Sports

would be easy to compare part numbers for the door glass across different models but a glass installer like Safelite would also know

I was frankly kind of shocked, when I lifted the hood of the Heritage my Wife was looking at and found no hood insulation.

I'm not sure I'd ever seen that before, ever.

You'd think Ford would use the same front door glass.
Front door - tempered or laminated
Rear door, quarter glass, backlite & sunroof - tempered

Thanks

I checked my drivers side (front window) - it is laminated on my ‘22 Badlands

Besides better soundproofing (over tempered glass), “Laminated glass provides superior UV protection, helping to shield passengers and the car's interior from sun damage”

My Job1 2022 has laminated glass as well. I’m guessing they all do.

I only saw laminated glass on the windshields and front door glass on the higher trim levels. My 20 Escape Titanium and 19 Edge Titanium both have the front door laminated glass. I am sure that the laminated glass is more expensive and since the rear seats are generally not occupied as much as the front seats Ford only put the laminated glass in the front doors. You do not realize how much of a difference the laminated glass makes as far as sound deadening until you drive in a vehicle that does not have laminated glass.

Sadly it is one of the features eliminated from the top line Escape after the 20 model year and it made a noticeable difference in cabin noise for the short time I had a 23 Escape Platinum.

According to recent information, the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport features significantly improved noise dampening compared to previous models, with added sound insulation throughout the cabin to reduce road noise, particularly at highway speeds; this is considered one of the key updates for the 2025 model year, allowing for a quieter ride experience.

Key points about the 2025 Bronco Sport noise dampening:
  • Increased insulation:
Ford has added more sound insulation materials throughout the cabin, including in the doors, floor, and firewall, to better absorb road noise.

  • Improved windshield acoustics:
The windshield is also designed to be more acoustically efficient, further contributing to a quieter cabin.

  • Upgraded sound system:
To complement the improved sound insulation, the 2025 Bronco Sport may come with an upgraded Bang & Olufsen sound system with more speakers for a better audio experience.

  • Overall quieter ride:
This enhanced noise dampening is expected to provide a noticeably quieter driving experience, especially on highways.
