New Beetles, maybe. In the ‘60’s & ‘70’s I don’t recall any other bugs waving. I suppose there were a few B pillar semaphore wavers, for those that still actually worked. I was more concerned with just getting my ‘62 up a hill without having to flip to the reserve tank halfway up.

I had a '69, one brother had a '69 and later a '71, and oldest brother had a '68 and carried his Butterfly sailboat on it. None of us had any interest in the New Beetle and never owned one or even driven one. This white Beetle was traded in on an IH Scout II around 1978, I think. Oh yeah, and a trailer for his sailboats.

Hard to get a return wave these days as it seems too many drivers (of all cars) have one hand holding their coffee cup or putting on eye shadow (sadly, both men and women) and the other hand holding their phone & texting.

In my area I don't see a lot of Bronco owners, the couple I did see in town, I waved at, nothing, no response.
So are Bronco owners stuck up, I would think not, on the occasion that I see them, I will continue to wave.
“Bronco” vs “Bronco Sport” ?!

my fellow Bronco owners definitely wave at me…

…the BS is just an econobox, lots of them out there, most people don’t care

Back in the day, VW Beetle owners waved at each other. Those were friendlier, safer times with less risk of road rage, IMO.
The peace sign or V that a lot of Jeep drivers do (as I did) started with the soldiers that came back from WWII stating V for Victory.

My wife & I always wave at Broncos. Most wave back. Some probably just don's look at other cars. One guy in an old school Bronco was snobbish. But he probably is about everything.

Man, I'll tell ya! The other day I saw some woman driving with her elbows while holding a phone in one hand and applying mascara with the other. She was scootched all the way forward so she could use her rearview. Got me so worked up I dropped my electric shaver in my coffee and spilled it all over my donuts!

There are a TON of Sports around the Western NY area, one seem to be on the forum, I imagine fewer have interest in get-togethers or dare I say camping or overland trips:confused: So, it's just me and Peaches the pup I guess

We spend half our year in a retirement community. My arm is tired from responding to the customary “wave” that all our community members share. But I never wave while driving in public.

In the 70s, I had a friend who drove a Saab. He said: Saab drivers all wave to each other on the road. Non-Saab drivers think it is because of the camaraderie of driving an uncommon car. But in reality we are waving to acknowledge how much money and time that owner spends keeping the stupid car drivable...

When I bought my MINI in 2013, it was encouraged to wave at other MINI drivers, with very good results. Sadly, now that those MINI’s are on there second or third owners, I rarely get a wave back.

As the past president of the central Illinois scooter club, I approve all 2-wheelers giving a signal to all other 2-wheelers. Usually a peace sign.

As a current owner of a Miata (my 4-wheel motorcycle), I approve of waving at all convertibles that have the top down.

As the owner of a Bronco Sport Heritage Limited Edition, I only approve waving to other HLE’s. No time for peasants! :lipssealed:

(honestly, I wave all the time and try to bet if I’ll get nothing, a wave, or the finger)

My wife and I have a game we play called spot the Bronco and Bronco Sport. Sorta like slug bug with older vw's without the slug! I wave to both and don't expect a wave back, but I'm always surprised by the number of people who do!
