In my area I don't see a lot of Bronco owners, the couple I did see in town, I waved at, nothing, no response.
So are Bronco owners stuck up, I would think not, on the occasion that I see them, I will continue to wave.

Don’t take it personally. Based on the forum it would appear that the Sport owners are mostly serious old men who keep both hands on the wheel and their eyes on the road. We just didn’t see your wave. If we noticed your Sport we were trying to spot your model badge to judge you.

So, should we assume driver of other types of vehicles wave back at you?

Personally, I only wave at other drivers I know. To many strange people out there to wave at everyone.

Gotta remember you’re in a cage, not on a bike. You want waves, you gotta get on two wheels.

And most bikers wave regardless of brand or type.

I find most cage drivers (cars, trucks, etc.) don't wave at one another unless it's a courtesy wave like letting someone move over or a roadrage type wave.
I've given the thumbs up to someone that has an interesting or nice vehicle.
For me, I'm not going to wave at someone with another Sport, maybe if your eyes meet you can acknowledge them otherwise no.

Motorcycle riders the majority of the time will wave when traveling in opposite direction, or when being passed.⁹
There are some Harley riders that don't wave.
The motorcycle community is more closely knit.

Waving really is a Jeep thing.

I waved at one the other day and he didn't wave back. Though, I don't know if he saw me or not, but like you, I will continue to wave!!

Here it’s difficult to tell if somebody is waving at you using all their fingers or not. Waving with all fingers though is generally reserved for either a thank you or an I’m sorry (following your horn blast at them). While it can be a nice greeting & I could wish more people did it, I wouldn’t worry if they don’t.

I don’t think the BS is enough of a ā€œlifestyleā€ choice to qualify for a ā€œwe share a common interestā€ connection with most other owners.

The last car I had that came close to that was my ā€˜91 Miata, and even then, we didn’t wave at one another.

I think for the vast majority of people it’s just a car that met certain needs, people that don’t know or care what capabilities it has, much less want to explore them.

You know, Big Bend owners. ?

I don't wave to get a reaction from other people, I wave because it makes me happy. I don't expect anyone to wave back. In fact, the idea that someone too stuck up to wave back will waste brain power marveling that some idiot is waving at them makes my day.

Back in the day, VW Beetle owners waved at each other. Those were friendlier, safer times with less risk of road rage, IMO.
