I have A 2022 bronco sport big bend that has around 13500 miles. I love the look of the car, but I have had some issues since purchasing it a few months ago. Admittedly I was hesitant to make this post as I am the furthest thing from a "car guy" as possible. I know about as little as possible when it comes to cars. If anyone else has experienced any of these issues and had them resolved if you could share what corrected the issue, I would greatly appreciate it.
I love the car and want to have it for the next 10 years at least and want to make sure it will hold up. The brake noise and grinding scares me the most. The last thing I want to do is ignore it and have one of these problems impact another part of the vehicle and make for a bigger issue down the road. The sales and service department are both great. I know they want what is best for their customers. The last thing I want to be is a thorn in the service departments side. AS I mentioned earlier the only other car, I owned I had for 10 years and only brought it back to the dealer once. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. (Sorry for the ramble)
- It feels like the car is skipping or as some people on here have mentioned "bucking" at residential speeds. I had a Jeep grand Cherokee prior to owning this and have never felt this sensation in any other car I've ever driven (including other broncos). I have brought it into the dealer a couple of times, and they have not found any issues with it. The second and most recent time I brought it in, I had a road test with a nice technician who mentioned the broncos have transmission issues, but they couldn't seem to confirm the issue with mine
- The car also grinds and makes a very loud noise when breaking downhill which the tech told me is "normal" for these cars. The first time I brought it in they replaced the front brakes and rotors and found that the brakes and rotors were "overheated and glazed with heat marks. Due to heat marks there was a chatter after cutting rotors and after several attempt the rotors below spec"-Dealer report. I find it somewhat hard to believe that is a normal noise for a car that is 10 years newer than my last car that had never made that noise/feeling. I have also never experienced this in any other car I've ever been in/driven... Maybe its luck I've never experienced it before. Nonetheless I am curious to see if others have had this issue and if it is a normal thing I will try and avoid hills.
- On the highway the car has been pulling, mostly to the left. They verified this and said they did an alignment (I have no reason to believe they didn't) but I still feel the car pulling.
- There is a rattle behind the steering wheel that the tech heard when we did a road test, but they did not include anything about it in a report.
- Sometimes when I go from reverse to park the car shakes and makes a very pronounced movement (I am fully stopped when switching). This does not always happen, but again I have never experienced it in any other car I've been in.
