I have a brand new Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks. Since pairing the garage door opener with it, the garage randomly opens. No one else is driving around our court and there’s no pattern. Planning to call the dealership. I’ve only had it about a month.

Is the bronco sport the only vehicle (or controller) hooked to the garage door?

If so, this is quite odd and I would definitively do as @Bucko suggests. If not, are you sure there is not a remote in a drawer or something that is not activating the door?

I should also ask if you’re married or have kids. Because as a husband or as a son, this sounds like a prank I would play with much enjoyment. :giggle:

X3 to wipe (and wait)..,

Clear vehicle's HomeLink system of all programming settings:

press and hold the outer two HomeLink buttons until the indicator light changes from solid to flashing rapidly (about 10 seconds)

I know this is probably a long shot since you were able to pair the Bronco to the opener but check with the Homelink website for videos on pairing your manufacturers opener. Mine is a Genie and I could not pair my Bronco Sport following the Bronco's owners manual or the opener manual. Might find something different on pairing with Homelink website videos that helps.

Mystery of the phantom garage door opening solved.
It’s a Chamberlain garage door opener with a leaky capacitor.
I hate when my capacitor leaks! Glad you figured it out!

Wait, your bronco has a garage door opener? I have to carry one around since it is not on my BS Outer Banks.

Had the home-link on two Edges and couldn’t get either one to work with my Genie opener (rolling code), so always used my regular opener. Don’t mind not having the home-link buttons in the Sport, and have found the sunglasses bin the perfect place to keep the opener - just crack open the door and push the button

Our Outer Banks has this feature. Next to the drivers side sun visor. Three buttons.

The UGDO is part of the optional Tech Package for the '24 MY.
