R2S will probably be my replacement. We've had an R1T pickup for 6 months and love it. The R2S should be a tad bigger than my BS but smaller than the R1S SUV.Rivian R3X is my next vehicle unless Ford does a Sport comparable.

We dumped our 2022 Passport for our 2023 OB. You think the BS has recall issues? The Passport was infinitely worse! Recall for mirrors literally falling off, infotainment recall that requires taking the entire dash apart and replacing wiring, rear camera recall that required taking the rear interior apart, etc.The dealership where I bought my Bronco Sport from called me today saying they had a special offer for me. I know it's marketing and I know it's to get me to buy another car from them, but it did get me thinking.
I'm at 6.5% APR and I can't find anyone to finance it at a better rate (my credit's great). I've had the Bronco Sport for 15 months and while I'm liking it, it can get a little cramped for cargo and there are small fit and finish issues. I haven't had any issues that most complain about.
I don't think I'd get a Big Bronco. I might consider a Passport Trailsport, but they're more expensive. Maybe an Outback or Crosstrek. I'd really want to get more into off-roading to see what my needs really would be.
Look up Toyota Tundra engine recall and Toyota fuel pump recall and maybe rethink the idea that Toyota's are problem free.I've been a life long Ford owner. With the 2 loss of power issues and all the recalls that I'm seeing of these Broncos, Mavericks and Escapes I may look at Toyota. My wife's 2018 Highlander has been pretty solid and she has 138K miles on it ... I'm thinking 4Runner or RAV4 ... reliability!
I have to say, I just rented a Jeep Cherokee L on a recent weeklong trip and found it to be exceptional. Very comfy, powerful and silky smooth with the V6…. and tons of room. Certainly not direct competition with the BS but it really surprised me with its refinement. Wasn’t even on my radar until Last week.I like my 2021. I wouldn't buy a 2024 with all the Ford cheap-outs. I don't like the revealed refresh pics with the giant screen. I guess Maverick is a possibility but I don't think the tiny bed is worth it for a 4-door truck. Most every other pickup on the market now is too big, including Ranger, Tacoma and Colorado. Maybe back to GM. That's a very reliable brand in my time. Trailblazer? I like the current Jeep Cherokee, but it goes without saying that it's overpriced. I need my Sport to hang around.

You are on target Mark with the fuel economy issue of comparing a Jeep Cherokee to the Bronco Sport. Doubtful that the Jeep is going to be as good as the Bronco Sport fuel mileage wise.Fuel economy?
I recorded about 21 mpg over the week i was driving it (mainly around town. some highway mileage) in a pretty flat area (Florida). While not great, it's WAY better than the 15 mpg that my wife's Tahoe, with 316k miles on it, is getting. I'm in no hurry to get rid of my BS, unless something drastic happens, but this might be an option for her next vehicle.Fuel economy?
