A fixed roof Bronco would be a great vehicle. I havenāt driven one yet, just the Ranger sharing the platform, but by all accounts their only real downfall is highway travel, if thatās what youāre into, with the road noise. Of course they basically have a ready made one already if theyād give us the Everest. Two vehicles that donāt exists, but could be interesting.
- a 2dr. variant of the Bronco Sport.
- a solid roof variant of the Bronco.
I admit a 2dr. Bronco Sport would likely have limited appeal, but it would be cool. And Jeep seems to have little trouble selling 2dr. Wranglers.
A fixed roof Bronco, as opposed to the current removable hardtop, would address issues of noise and rattling because you wouldnāt be driving a convertible anymore.
I haven't driven a full-size hardtop Bronco yet either, but my impression from the reviews I've seen is that, yes, there's noise particularly compared to most contemporary vehicles, but that it's not necessarily intolerable. Of course, it's subjective and your mileage may vary.A fixed roof Bronco would be a great vehicle. Color matched cap starts at around $2,400. I added Yakima roof track, inside front folding down window, and an inside liner which added another grand. What does a Cap Like on your Maverick Cost?
From what Iāve seen and read the Land Rover should be avoided like the plague. Looks nice, but atrocious quality control and reliability.3. Land Rover Defender, base 2dr with a few add-ons ā $61,000-62,000
Add the INEOS Grenadier to your list or at least take one for a test drive. Itāll be fun but your top end price would be just a bit less than owning a 2025 BSBL w/Sasquatch along with a BSBL w/o SasquatchLast night I checked three vehicles I might be interested in IF I HAD to change on the mfgrās build your own sites:
1. Loaded BSBL w/Sasquatch ā between $47,000 -48,000
2. Honda Passport off-road edition, comparably equipped (canāt get as much on it according to website) ā $53,000-54,000
3. Land Rover Defender, base 2dr with a few add-ons ā $61,000-62,000
These are my three current favorites, and you guessed it . . . Iād put Ford at the top of the list.
Fortunately, my ā21 BSBL has been pretty trouble free, itās paid for, and I have max extended warranty so I donāt plan on trading up any time soon.
If you guys didn't see it i did get a 2025 AWD Maverick with the 2.0 Eco Boost and traded in the BS.AWD Maverick XLT with the 2.0 Eco Boost. If nothing happens to my BS i still would rather have the Maverick.I messed up when i bought the BS as i had many F-150's before the BS and the MSRP on some of the AWD Maverick XLT's with the 2.0 Eco Boosts are cheaper than my BS BB was.But the Mavericks seemed pretty scarce when i bought the BS in December of 2023.
Slate Truck is that that Amazon Truck? The Slate Truck is expected to become available in 2027. In many ways, Slate is getting compared to the maverick. Who knows maybe the Slate will be your Truck after maverick.
