Heaven forbid something happened to your Bronco Sport... what are you going to get next?

What are you replacing your Bronco Sport with, if you lost it today?

I did a lot of research on the Passport and found close to nothing about problems but if you search BS our most any Ford vehicle you'll find pages. I'm a Ford guy I've been buying new Fords since 1984 but Fords leadership stock market 1st approach and F everything else made me look at other makes.

To be fair, 99% of those pages are about the 1.5L issues not the 2.0. As for the passport or any other vehicle you can always just do a quick check here : https://www.cars.com/research/honda-passport/recalls/

Just an FYI, the BS Badlands outperformed the Cherokee since it's release, on and off road.

I wasn’t referring to the Trailhawk. It was a Grand Cherokee L (3 row). I was shocked by how smooth and responsive the drivetrain was and how comfortable the interior was. Just struck me as a really nice vehicle.

I'd be happy to buy a used BS Outer Banks or First Edition for cheaper than I paid for mine if I had to, but the other car that tempts me constantly is the Alfa Romeo Stelvio that are really starting to come down in price. A Quadrifoglio Stelvio or Giulia would be the goal, but I'm not made of money, and I'd probably be just fine with the regular trims levels.

Throttle House just made a video comparing the regular Giulia 2.0L with a Giulia Quadrifoglio, so I've got Alfas on the brain today.

I forget what magazine it was that did a long term test on one of the two Alfa Romeo's cars pictured above. And man they had all kinds of problems with it. No Thanks :) :)

The wife and I in past years have owned 4 Grand Cherokees, and had great ownership with all.

Why did we change to the BS? We both wanted something different in the style category.

We like the looks of the BS; just worried about mechanicals and getting prompt service should we need repairs under warranty. Parts availability also seems to be an issue with these Ford Bronco Sports.

I've given some thought to my next vehicle and honestly I don't know what it will be. I'm not brand loyal, so lots of options. Recently I've been looking at Chevy Colorado ZR1 or ZR2. Think I'll go over to Chevy and build a couple.

The dealership where I bought my Bronco Sport from called me today saying they had a special offer for me. I know it's marketing and I know it's to get me to buy another car from them, but it did get me thinking.

I'm at 6.5% APR and I can't find anyone to finance it at a better rate (my credit's great). I've had the Bronco Sport for 15 months and while I'm liking it, it can get a little cramped for cargo and there are small fit and finish issues. I haven't had any issues that most complain about.

I don't think I'd get a Big Bronco. I might consider a Passport Trailsport, but they're more expensive. Maybe an Outback or Crosstrek. I'd really want to get more into off-roading to see what my needs really would be.
Would get a Big Bronco with 2.7L maybe.

If something catastrophic happened to my 2024 Bronco Sport Big bend…

- I’d look at another Bronco Sport Big Bend or perhaps an Outer Banks or Badlands.
- Iā€˜d look at a 2dr. Base Bronco with manual transmission.
- I’d look more closely at a Mazda CX-30.

I can’t think of anything beyond those I’d have any serious interest in.

AWD Maverick XLT with the 2.0 Eco Boost. If nothing happens to my BS i still would rather have the Maverick.I messed up when i bought the BS as i had many F-150's before the BS and the MSRP on some of the AWD Maverick XLT's with the 2.0 Eco Boosts are cheaper than my BS BB was.But the Mavericks seemed pretty scarce when i bought the BS in December of 2023.
