I just hope that this means that they're going to start putting 360 camera in it. I could care less about having a bigger screen and they also need to put in a boost gauge like the big bronco has and I really want a battery gauge and an oil pressure gauge. Air condition seats would be nice too. And also the automated rear hatch where you can wave your foot under the rear bumper and it opens. I loved that on my escape.

Looking at that photo it looks like that the HVAC controls may be independent of the Sync 4 screen and may work even if you get a blank screen crash.

You might be right that the HVAC controls and other important functions will work if the screen crashes. But also … Sync4 should be 100% reliable and will never crash!!
The area in the red circle is a mystery for now.

For those who use stock radio (Sync 3), it's cumbersome and slow in comparison. Voice commands are useful compared to something distracting (keyboard entry of a navigation destination while driving) or time consuming (finding a phonebook entry on the phone or radio screen) or both. Turning the heated seats on or turning the temp down a couple degrees is basically instant with physical controls.

For those of us who use Apple Carplay or Android Auto, the current experience does not support voice controls for climate while these are in use.

Indeed, it's not productive to have to switch between AA and Sync. Originally, the plan was a press on the voice button for AA commands and a long press for Sync commands, but it seems that didn't happen.

Never buy the 1st or 2nd year of a major facelift/upgrade to a vehicle. I’ll wait until year 3 or 4 to trade in my 23 badlands.

I don't know if I'd worry about reliability too much because they'll probably just put what's in the full-size bronco in there and hopefully you'll have the option of the 8 inch or the 12 in like when I had my full-size bronco. I just had the 8 inch screen cuz I think you had to get the luxe package or something But I never had any problems with it. And I liked how it was on my bronco so hopefully there won't be any growing pains.

oh wow the interior big screen tv is a deal breaker. i hate how bright the interiors get now. it's dangerous. doesn't let your eyes adjust to night time driving.

Still emitting too much light. Maybe if they used amoled or mips screens it would be better.
