I believe the BS uses the same trans as the edge and escape, 8F35. He is recommending oil service interval every 30k miles. Built in non replaceable filter seems to be the driving factor in his recommendation.
Most service contracts pays posted labor rates and MSRP on parts. Study that contract and read the exclusions list or "what this agreement does not cover" page.
Some really shady service contracts have low aggregate limits and labor caps, mostly at smaller independent used car lots.
I'm ok with people expressing their dislike. Lately it's the entitlement. You had an issue, Ford fixed it, yet they still cry that they should have done more for being inconvenienced. No wonder dealers charge so much for repairs, the time they have to invest to fend off the complainers.
This site is nothing but negative a lot of the time. Everyone with an issue seems to create an account just to come in here and complain. Yes it is frustrating totally understand that. But is this the first time people have owned a car that has ever had an issue? On top of that they have...
Agree. Will be picking up a extended service contact soon as I just passed 37k miles. I am in the business and these policies do pay, I have one on my RS for the next 5 years up to 125k miles. Lots of bad policies out there, read the contract and make sure you understand the coverage...
Ugh that's the killer, these book times are a joke and labor rates are even worse. Hopefully they get it sorted out for you and not just throwing parts at it. I have very little faith in franchise repair shops these days unless it's warranty work.
Do they get brighter? I run my fogs all the time and I do notice the corner lights turning on at lower speeds. Now I'm curious and wanna test it out tonight.
Those are separate puddle lights, not the fog lights. Only come on at low speed when turning. My Focus also has them also, notice the bulb inside the reflector facing to the side next to the projector lens. Bronco uses the smaller strip lights in the housing.
Waze for longer road trips and Google Maps for city driving. Google Maps search function is much better as it gives you a map to look at with location pins of what you are searching for along with a list. Waze just gives you a text list and how many miles away each result is, sometimes sending...
Any update on this? I'm going to be doing a couple of nights car camping and thinking I might just disconnect the battery at night so I don't have all the lights and fans going if I get up in the middle of the night.
Shouldn't speak those words!
I know I got 2 good strikes one on the hood and one just above the windshield because of the mark it left in the PPF, the paint is perfect underneath. 80% of my driving is on the highway.
After delivery I got the front clip wrapped in ppf. Not a single chip in the paint going on 32k miles. It's not too late and well worth it if you plan to keep your BS for a few years.
Regardless of how far it made it the bs is still a unibody car with independent front suspension and is not an off roader in my eyes. Sure this video is a bit extreme. But the bs has zero ground clearance, zero approach, zero suspension articulation. Cool looking little car that's made for dirt...
I'm using the Motorola wireless Android Auto adapter in my bs. The charging map doesn't have enough power to keep up with the phones battery drain. Plus the phone gets very warm when using that wireless charger.
