I got a dollar......
For you, I'll make a deal. I'll take your dollar, add a few zeros to it, and sell for $2452.25. I'll still cover shipping costs.

I bought one for my 22 OBX and installed it a while ago. probably 15,000 miles on it. No ill effects. No issues with temps. I also installed the hood insulation, and the passenger side footwell cover.
tell me about the footwell cover.

tell me about the footwell cover.
On the passenger side, under the dash, is wide open. It is obvious there is a cover supposed to be there. It was there on all 21 models. I ordered it and installed it. All tabs present on the subsequent models. Took longer to open the package than it did to snap it in. Was less than 40 bux. When ordering, specify 21 model because it is not a listed part for 22 and later. Another one of the things Ford designed, but decided to save money and gip us.

When they keep emailing for vin, just email back explaining that you know it will not come back as compatible but please send it. Online parts Manager emailed me back thanking me. I ordered the hood insulation, footwell plate and engine cover and studs from them. By far cheapest shipping. Some other places had the part a buck ot two cheaper but wanted 10-20 to ship.

Just an FYI... I searched for the hood insulation and it came up as obsolete, also. And I'm having a hard time finding the tow eye on Ford's part site.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Maybe they're having issues on their end.

Edit: I removed my BS and just searched for the tow eye part number. It showed right up. I'm not sure why it's being excluded if you're filtered to a Bronco Sport. And their site is terribly slow, same as it was a few weeks ago when I tried ordering. They're a little bit more expensive ($5-10) than other dealers when you figure S&H but I'd rather have the dealer hopefully support me if there's an issue.

I considered getting one for looks, but that just makes a nice little covered spot where mice would feel comfortable making a nest under it. Living in the sticks that's always a problem.

Just got off the phone from a Ford Parts Dealer in Bartow,Florida. I had put in an online order for an engine cover and the 3 studs. A gentleman from the parts counter called to tell me that the engine cover is now obsolete !!! Ford wasn’t having anymore made, because it’s designed as an Insulator it was keeping the temperatures up in the engine bay, they (meaning Ford ) decided to not even make the covers anymore. He was calling me to cancel my order.
Sounds like a phony excuse to me and as long as these 1.5s take to warm up in the winter they need the engine cover more than ever.

Good riddance. Tired of engine cover threads. Why people still insist on getting one is beyond me.
Yes, I heard it was a heat issue. That is understandable but the 1.5 ltr sounds like a sewing machine without one, My neighbor got the 1st year with one, same engine, his sounds better.
