CAI’s do absolutely nothing. In fact, they can lower your MPG’s because the engine is tuned for a specific volume of air. Unless you get a tune to accommodate the CAI (which would be worthless in the 1.5’s case) your AFR is gonna be off.
Tore both pumps down. It's just a new part number. No revision at all. Impeller is exactly the same.
The "no tensioner" is a theory I've heard from a Ford Engineer among other Ford experts. I don't disagree. The way the engine shakes in normal mode, I could see why they'd fail. I run mine in...
that’s me. I need to revise the post. The new water pumps leak as well. It is believed that the lack of belt tensioner on the engine causes too much strain on the pump. The updated part isnt different from the previous one, at all. maybe a new supplier, but it’s not revised at all.
If you go in the back and push on the hatch right below the glass while having someone sit in the car, you’ll hear the noise. It’s caused from wind coming through the rear vents. A poor engineering choice.
I first learned of this when I had to get a spider off the sun visor - opened the door at a red light and had my foot on the brake, shooed it off. Close the door and light turns green. I step on the throttle and not moving - panicked for a good 30 seconds until I saw I was in park. Neat feature...
I’m not gonna spend your money, but the Bronco Sport is built better than the full size. Look at the complaints here vs any full size bronco forum. Good luck to you.
3 of my friends have them. Both leak water through the hard top. My other buddy has a 2D and its axle tube pulled out of the rear housing about 1/2" and started leaking. All 3 have interior rattles and an overall cheap feeling. Both engines offered suffer from reliability issues. The manual...
Do you give it enough throttle to upshift? I notice on mine, that when approaching steep hills, it feels like a locked torque converter on a truck. Enough throttle and it’ll downshift then give you some boost. If you’re pressing the pedal all the way down, then there’s a problem.
