I think Hyundai is fine as a brand, but I wouldn't even shop for that ugly thing. But I bet the build is excellent and the software is smooth af.

Vehicle sizes in general are out of control.

Apparently the coefficient of drag is 0.29. that's crazy for that shape. Does anyone know what the number for Bronco sport is? I feel like it's over 0.4

TFL did a preview on it. It’s definitely a refined mom-mobile now with some nice tech which seems to be what Hyundai is doing quite anymore.

I would still have trouble spending that much money for a Hyundai but if you took the badge off of it…well I’m weird like that I wouldn’t mind it as a people mover.

Honestly I’m sure they’ll sell all they can make at a nice profit. People that want the defender or the Land Cruiser will look at this & see it as the crossover with the right looks that they can afford.

It’s really Hyundai copying Ford’s idea with the Bronco Sport, but a size class larger. Make something that appears like it can go off-road, maybe even a bit more capability as the Sport has. Based on normal crossover mechanicals. This should do fine against the Explorer Timberline & Pilot Trailsport.

Consumers need the competiton. The Hyandai will likely be thousands of dollars cheaper and will take some Bronco and Jeep buyers. Keep in mind Ford vehicles with ICE engines could be thousands of dollars cheaper if Ford didn't use them to subsidize its cash drain from EV's. BTW Ford just made a huge investment in China and will be the minority partner with a Chinese goverment owned company. China is currently in a recession, hope Ford stockholders and customers don't have to subsidize this bad idea as well. Ford stock is in a nose dive. Down around 20% since July 1. I've never been a fan of any auto stock anyway. Too many better run companies to invest in.
