David,
I'd appreciate if you let me know how did the programming of the keypad into the BS go. I got mine (for Remote Start) but the Ford Dealer down here in Argentina doe snot know how to get it to work. Any tips from the dealer that you can gather can be of help. Thanks
Well, I tested the Twraps charging pad. It works great. The phone does not move with normal driving and keeps charging.
Still, I tried replacing the pack with Apple's to take advantage of stronger magnets and 15W charging.
Replacing it was easy, however the BS does not like the Apple puck and...
I got the Curt (CMF13474) at U-Haul.com for $200 and installed it myself. No big deal and no cutting at all. The included detailed instructions were all I needed.
Works great.
TWRAPS's Magsafe charging pad is limited to 10W b/c they don't use Apple's charging puck.
Still, if you have Apple's puck, you can just unscrew the one that comes with the pad and replace it with Apple's puck. TWRAPS confirmed this. That way you should have the 15W option.
As I have the puck, I...
IMHO the BS charger is useless. Regardless of the charging speed or heat, the phone just moves around and loses wireless connection wit the charger. Just brake little hard or shake a fast turn and it will happen. I haven't been able to use it since I Vought mins +1 years ago.
I really am surprised about people that are able to charge their iPhones in the BS.
I've had mine for over a year and not once have I been able to keep it changing more than 5 minutes. Unless you drive really slow, it just moves around when I brake, turn or accelerate (not to mention speed...
I am able to do it. I connect my iPhone via bluetooth to my earbuds (I don't use iPods, but I assume it will be the same) then when getting to the car the phone connects wirelessly to CarPlay and switches sound to the car's. At this point both the car and earbuds are connected via BT but sound...
Could be, I didn't see them at the time. But in any case, I didn't need to take it off. You can just slide a piece of heat barrier sheet through the openings where the connectors hang.
I finally got time to do this. The back clips, close to the sunglass lid, unclip easy with a trim tool. The two other ones on the sides, are a little bit harder but eventually come off and then the whole thing drops. There's 3 connectors to unplug and the whole thing slides back (Thanks...
Yes, these are three alpha numeric 16-digit codes (48 digits total) and a 6-digit serial
The problem is that the Ford dealer tells me that at a certain point during the install they are required to enter the long code but that the SW doesn't let them use alphanumeric codes.
Any idea what could...
Bump!.
Has anyone tried adding an OEM Ford Keypad to their Bronco Sport?
Ford sells one that is supposed to be for the BS. The Ford dealers in my country do not know how to program it, though. It is frustrating.
I tried to contact Ford here and in the USA, but there is no phone support for this.
Carlinkit 4.0, while good has some issues. Android Auto implementation is not so good. Maybe in the next firmware versions it will but so far it randomly gives me a pixelated screen. Aside from that, the CarPlay side if it works just live v.3
