If you're parked outside, it makes sense to put a solar panel on your dash. The 2.5 watt ones from harbor freight won't charge your battery, but will keep it from discharging.
Should not have to do this either.

you don’t have to

the vehicle is never really off

Getting messages doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with the vehicle. Don’t be annoyed.

All that it’s telling you is that the battery voltage as reached a predetermined level (13 volts..12v.? I don’t know somone will find it) and its factory programmed to protect itself. older vehicles did not have these monitoring systems so we were ignorant to it.

it shouldn’t bring anyone anxiety but it does. You don’t need a battery tender and you don’t need a solar panel installed on your car to counteract these messages.

Engineering has hooked up so many systems to these batteries that they had to put another system in place to protect the battery. Dumb. But people (we the consumer) like gadgets and features. The power supply has to come from somewhere.

And this is not a bronco sport thing this is a new vehicle thing. Jeeps sends a low battery voltage warning… that’s really got people in a panic

The more you keep your battery fully charged, and the sooner you start charging after running it down, the longer it will last. You'll notice how many Sport owners have had their batteries die and leave them stranded. Some get replaced under warranty, some not.

Tried that...I had to use the procedure to get it out of deep sleep first, as the tender would not work (lite up). That was a pain, so now I just make sure it starts once a week, and we drive it around for 20 minutes or so.
If the Battery Tender (BT) is connected soon after turning the BS off, there should be no problem.

Ours sits for several days sometimes and we've never seen any message related to the battery.

But yeah, if it is already in 'deep sleep' mode that's another story.

Exactly! Lead-acid batteries' happy place is fully charged -- 12.6 to 12.7 volts (AGM a bit higher).

The factory system prevents the battery from becoming fully discharged, but it is in a partially charged state, until the BS is driven long enough to fully charge it.

Unless the BS is regularly driven long distances (like commuting 5 days/week) a Battery Tender (BT) or Battery Minder should be used. The BT will pay for itself with longer battery life.

My BS was forever saying low battery. I had a guy run a few tests and he found a parasitic draw and suggested I try locking it (one click) when done for the day/night to completely shut her down. Once I started doing that the warning disappeared.
