When I bought the 69 Roadrunner I had test drove a 69 Boss 302 Mustang. I really wanted that car but it was about $500 more than the Roadrunner. I just couldn't afford it. Can you believe it? $500 and that was more than I could afford! But the Roadrunner was a very fast and fun car to drive. 383 magnum, 4sp and 391 posi. I believe it was a tad over $2800. But I always think of that Boss 302.

I'll go first!

My first car was a 1989 Nissan Pulsar NX I bought while still in high school in maybe 1998. The paint was fadedhe T tops leaked. The a/c didn't work until the day I sold it. But it was a fun car until I sold it before going off to college. I didn't have a camera back then so you just get this ad I found online.

I replaced that with a brand new 1999 Ford Escort ZX2 Hot. I had that until 2010 and almost 200,000 miles. The only issues were the a/c (they get used a LOT in South Texas) and I couldn't shift into 3rd gear. Sorry, only pic I have is with my breakfast going on some school trip.

I sold that and bought my late grandfather's Ford Taurus. I think it was in 2003. It had a lot less miles but the engine died on me, so I sold it to CarMax.

I traded the Taurus in for a 2000-something Nissan Maxima. I always had a love for Maximas but when I was driving home, I just didn't feel comfortable in it. The infotainment/dash layout felt cheap but it was a very expensive car. It just didn't sit right with me. So I took it back a few days later.

CarMax was great, no pressure, but I needed a car. I came across this 2006 Honda Accord EX. I didn't like them back in 2003/4 but in 2012, it looked great. So far, it's been one of my favorites.

That car was totaled when I hit a black cow in the middle of a FM road at midnight. When I was laying in the hospital, I was already looking at 2006 Accords to replace it with. In hindsight, I wish I had found one a little newer since this was a couple of years after I bought the first one. But I found this great 2006 Accord EX-L navi 5sp manual that I couldn't pass up. I had that car from 2013 until 2023 and 206,000 miles until a bolt snapped when I was replacing the VTEC solenoid. It's going to be a pain to take out and I was planning to replace it in June, so I got on the road to look for an Accord or Passport to replace it with.

The newer Hondas just didn't buzz me and I turned around and saw the BS. It was on the higher end of my budget but it was the color I wanted. The other two they had were black and that light blue Heritage one. So far, I'm liking it, even though the first couple of days I couldn't eat. I sort of wish I had looked for one with the Convenience Package but I didn't even know which packages or trims were available. Usually I'll do hours of research when buying a toaster or Keurig but this was one of the most impulsive buys ever. I guess it's a good thing there aren't many accessories or anything else to add on it to keep me from spending extra cash.

Why did you decide to switch to the BS?
It was a great truck but i rarely used it for anything other than a daily driver...I was offered nearly what I paid for it 4 years ago. Lots of equity. Now I have lower payments, better mpg, new vehicle. And the BS will likely become my daughter's in 5 years. Then I may upgrade to 2door Bronco Black Diamond.

Sounds like a good plan!

I cross shopped the Passport, too! I test drove 2 of them, about 2020 or 2021 models, and just didn't feel it.

I'm kind of looking at the CR-Vs but I'm really liking the BS.

I'll assume that 2021 was the reason for your site name.
