I ordered it in September from 'oemfordparts' and now I checked. Its discontinued. Much has been discussed on this forum about the elusive 1.5 engine cover. Hard or impossible to find. Sorry. It's a big contoured piece of foam rubber. JCR offroad has a cool looking metal one. I added the link. They have them for the 1.5 and the 2.0. Search the forum it ws mentioned also. Kind of expensive. The Ford rubber one was about $60 in September. The one I got looked like it may have been a return but its going under the hood anyway. It was Ok by me. (I have to post up some pictures of my BS BB sport. Its the hot pepper red color).

Thanks for that. I managed to find it over the weekend. Is the main reason for the install to keep the engine surface clean? Are there other benefits or negatives you're aware of? Cheers.

My concern is the Bronco going into "limp mode" in case it senses the pressure too high. I don't want to be on a long road trip and something happen. I have a CAI and Borla exhaust.
I've heard some concerns with the Throttle Commander throwing cars into limp mode due to how it wired into the system, and that they do not differentiate throttle sensitivity from forward to reverse which can be sketchy.

Banks Power has a competing product at a similar price point which, according to them and their people, wont have the limp mode issue even if something happens to the unit, and it used an OBD2 connection so it leave the reverse throttle sensitivity stock.

I've not purchased this product, nor have I purchased anything from this company personally, but Banks has quite the automotive history in the United States and is regarded as being a trusted source of information and products.

Thanks! I'll check that out.

There's also one made by Livernois for the same cost range. https://www.livernoismotorsports.com/product/LPP690401/livernois-motorsports-infinite-throttle-enhancer-ford-and-lincoln

They also make a tuner for about $600.

Has nothing to do with pressure, everything to do with throttle position which is why I chose this route as opposed to a "tune"

First oil change on BOTH Bronco Sports today. A DIY project, since I do the 1st change between 2K and 2.5K miles.
The first one went okay, but the factory-installed filter (not a FL-910S, I noticed) needed a little persuading to come loose.

I did my wife's BS, "Prickly Pete", when she got home from shopping. I thought the cool oil on mine came out quickly. I was not prepared for the horizontal geyser of hot oil that shot out of the drain on hers. I will be looking for a (much) larger pan for the next oil change.

The filter on hers was even tighter than on mine. All the usual tools were employed, but in the end I had to resort to the ol' hammering-a-large-screwdriver-through-the-filter trick.

Well... I won't have to do that again for six months or so.

The first change usually has a real tight oil filter and drain plug too.

Went ahead and got the tires today.

Discount Tire was apparently phasing out the Falken Wildpeak AT/3W so I went ahead with the Falken Wildpeak AT/4Ws. I'm sure I could've gotten a more exciting tire or something less common but I'm not a tire nerd but I do know the Falkens are known to be rock solid. Hard to go wrong with them.

If people want to know what caused me to finally get these....and because I know everyone likes a story....what finally did it is ....I was driving in the mountains just SW of Conifer, CO when I was going downhill and there was a left turn coming up. I noticed there was a sheen on the ice and thought to myself hmmm....that normally means there's ice there....crap thats probably ice....so gently tap on the brakes, much earlier than I normally would for this turn, and the car immediately locks up and the ABS is going crazy. Which would be fine but it’s not slowing my down quickly enough but it is keeping me going straight as intended. So here I am on an icy road, almost locked up, certainly not slowing down quickly enough and careening towards this left hand turn and the guard rail is getting closer and closer and oh fuck I'm gonna hit it, starting to get resigned to my fate, frantically trying to regain traction meanwhile pumping the brakes so as not to engage the ABS and I finally regain control, and I’m in the left lane, thankfully there was no oncoming traffic about the guard rail is still about 50yds away. Certainly not the first time, far from its I’ve had issues with the ATRs on ice.

Looking forward to getting these out this weekend. I know they're not a cure for ice but I'm hoping there's more grip there.

Yeah, I hate those butt pucker moments, glad you are Ok!

I change my tires every 5 years, don't really drive as much anymore. But the Falken Wildpeak AT/4Ws are on my list. Love the falken's that came with my Badlands, no complaint's.
