I tell people that Patience like Virginity is a Virtue, and I ain't got either of them.
It was a rough 5 months knowing mine was just sitting in the desert waiting on the Restraint Control Module.
But Ford did send us the $100 Amazon card. The amount wasn't much, but the gesture meant a lot.

Got my emai from Ford today with a May 23 production. Not going to get my hopes up just yet, will wait another month before I put the corsair up for sale. Placed my order 2/9 BS BL premium, 360+, moonroof, CMS, no tow.

It would seem that my talk with Ford Customer Service gave some accurate information. It does seem that the Tow Package is the real holdup on a lot of orders now. I don't think that anyone that has gotten a May build date had the Tow Package. The rep told me they were only filling 33% of orders with the Tow Package.

Good news, got the scheduled production email this morning! To be built the week of 5/23. I was getting a little discouraged yesterday when I didn't see an email, and since it has almost been two months since the order was accepted, I figured it might still be awhile since I ordered at a smaller dealer. It is only a BB but its pretty loaded with options: Convenience Pkg, 360+, Tow Pkg, Moonroof, rubber seat backs and cargo management. So I was thrilled to see I got the email today. I just about shouted for joy and I was grinning from ear to ear for several minutes!

Not related to the BS but I know the the individual that does all the commercial ordering for the dealership and he has a full size Bronco ordered that has been held up for many months because of the tow package.
I’m going to get on them. Believe me. lol
Nope, you ordered a Badlands. By default your wait will be longer (think special) because of more items with limited availability. Same for the full size. If I wanted a Big Bend moredoor, softtop, 2.3, AT, and no options, I could get in 3-4 months. But noooooo, I want a 2 Door Badlands with all the goodies so it’s end of the line for you (me).

You & me both! I didn‘t think to ask sales dude what the other customer ordered for a BS that was held up. I wonder if she had the same options/constraints I did. Either way, glad to be one of the May builds now. I can only guess what few tow package materials are available they’re prioritizing the longest waited builds.
