Hood insulation is missing too. Does the cover and hood insulation helps with temperatures or is just for the noise?

Was thinking about getting one but I don't heard excessive noise + I don't feel like buying a brand new car in pieces.

That's the funny thing. The manufacturer of the vehicle, Ford, has deemed it not important since they no longer equip newer 1.5s with it.

Hood closed. Not a problem. Hood open. 'Problem' for a select few.

Oh, Went out and made a quick check again - mine is still there.

Hood insulation is for sound and does make some difference. Didn’t come on Big Bend. Engine cover is for optics. It’s not pretty under there but what the heck, I’m still trying to get my head around the three cylinder thing.

I think we'll have Schrödinger's Engine Cover that way. The engine covers may or may not be there as long as you don't pop the hood to check.

Engine cover was made is Oz at the lollipop guild plant... do not get it wet or it may melt
