Our water pump was replaced today with 22,700 miles , build date Dec. 2020 , purchased in Jan. of 2021. I will ask if they installed the new version . I smelled coolant when the BS was just pulled into the Garage everyday & it didn't leak much , but I did add Coolant almost daily , just not much...
You don't read very well do you , its about your being terrified of driving up a hill with the 1.5 thats laughable & you take for granted I've never drove on a hill or mountain with a car/truck or have lived in another State that had hills . So some guy with 50 years of experience with diving...
What words did I put in anyones mouths , you used the word "terrifying " in describing the 1.5 , which is also laughable in on its self .
I'm in no way butthurt as you describe , the 1.5 has plenty of pep & we traded a 2012 Mustang in on the OB BS , so we both knew about power, the wife...
That's what makes you "terrified " , you have to be joking ,having to give the vehicle some gas to go up a hill , that is about the strangest comparison I have ever read. If all the reviews say get the 2.0 , why are all the 1.5's even being sold ? They must all be sold in Florida & we , the...
Drive belts break , it happens , you can see them laying in the road on occasion . If you have engine problems after the repair , they or you will know it pretty quick , I would think .
Ours has not made any noise that I'm aware of & ours is a 2021 built in Dec.of 2020 , purchased in January of 2021 . Just how many are having this issue ?
I believe as was said about bugging out in most vehicles , it will be a big parking lot out there if something does happen like is envisioned . Problem is , it won't be like anything you plan for , hard to say what would make me leave my house . I'm surrounded by swamps & jungle & have plenty of...
I agree take traction control off , but since you have a BB , you will need to go into settings to take TC off , the BL's has a convenient switch as said . I also switch to the low setting if driving slow , so as not to upshift . Of course that would depend on how fast you want to blast around...
As said , if you don't want to scratch or dent your off road vehicle , stay on paved roads . How are you approaching this obstacle , head on or at an angle , makes a big difference .
Its all about experience , I was lucky , I started out off roading with a 1978 CJ 7 , it was a true beater...
To me , it looks like something hit it & broke the line 's Fitting & its attachment point . You may or may not see any damage to that fabric cover . As said , it needs better protection over that area .
Ours is always on Auto & system comes on & cools when BS is started ( or heat if needed ), even remote start . it's worked like this since day one . I would bring it up with Ford , but I would also make sure it set correctly , from the owner manual , ya never know .
Here is an interesting video from Mad Matts , 4x4 , down under & it high lights a death from recovery from using a hitch . I personally think its was the drop hitch that caused the issue , but I'm no expert .
He also said he didn't know about that.
Deep water will throw more water every where , so it doesn't have to be water over the hood .
Did you put it on a dyno before the swap & after , I'm curious on how much HP /T you gained & see if the MPG changed . I have used K&N on just about every...
Big Bend model has a 3 cylinder engine . Our OB gets 28mpg in city driving , have not went on a highway trip yet & m ay not , now that I have a MB Sprinter based 4x4 RV .
I believe "Normal " setting is is normal for most owners . The GOAT is a sales gimmick .Using ECO mode lowered our MPG ...
