I should add that I generally fill up at the quarter tank mark, average distance from full between 315-330 miles and amount needed to fill 11.25-12 gals. I keep all receipts. I also reset the trip odometer etal each time.

3000km trip, Vancouver, BC->Kelowna, BC->Calgary, AB->Drumheller, AB->Edmonton, AB->Vancouver, BC.......7.5L/100KM with the 1.5L OB.
Colour me impressed. ran mostly on ECO mode, though used Sport in aggressive passing on single lane mountain highways.

Mines down to 24.0 avg mpg because I’m driving friskier.
When I drive more, mid field I hold a 26.0 avg mpg.
Econo Goat has never done a thing for gas mileage, for me in my Appalachian mountains.

Filled up today. Computer said 29.5mpg. Actual calculated was 28mpg. 90% city, 10% highway.

Let me add to the cherry-picked mpg pics. Here's mine after filling up and driven 23 miles. All city with very light traffic. Will it be this at the end of the tank? No freaking way. Maybe 28 if the planets align.

It really varies for me. I can get up to 30-32mpg with cruise control, minimal headwind, and no traffic on the highway. In city traffic it’s closer to 20-22mpg. I average around 24-26. I keep a lot of crap in my car and have AT tires on though.

Took the Bronco Sport BB on it's first major road trip this past weekend - 944 miles roundtrip to Reno, NV and back to Covina, CA. Thought I'd share my gas mileage results. We took US-395 between Southern California and Reno, so lots of elevation changes and speed changes as we slowed to go through smaller towns.

Obviously I have the 1.5L since I have a Big Bend. Started the trip with just over 1,500 miles on the odometer, now have just under 2,500. The speed limits were mostly 55 or 65 mph, with some drops to 25 -45 through some of the small towns. I used the intelligent adaptive cruise control which generally worked well (sometimes it would read a sign wrong, but most of the time was correct). I had the tolerance set anywhere from the limit exactly to no more than 3 mph above the limit, so maximum cruising speed did not go more than 68. Once in a while to pass I might have sped to just above 70 or so, but never cruised that fast.

The lowest calculated mileage I got was on the first leg of the trip was 28mpg. The highest calculated mileage was in the middle of the return trip at 34mpg. In general, it was easy to get 31 or 32 as that is mostly what I calculated on the other legs. In general, I found that the average as calculated by the Bronco's trip computer was about 2mpg more than what I calculate by hand. Not bad for a little boxy SUV driving on a highway with mountainous terrain in some places. Very happy with it.

Put this in your thinker boxes:
Most all of us old farts found that dashboard mpg’s were one number and when we actually calculate it we get a lower number, like 1.5-2.0 mpg’s lower than the dash sez.
Something has changed with mine since my 25,000 service.
My dash/computer now shows about 1 mpg LESS than actual calculation's we do at the pump.
Dash now says I’m averaging 25.5 mpg and manual calculation shows 26-26.5….

The dash is always optimistic. Even in my 1.5 escape, it would show 2mpg higher on the dash then what I was calculating at the pump.

25k on my OB. Just did a road trip and got 35 mpg calculated. Dash said 36, so not experiencing what you are. I've had my 10k and 20k services so those did not seem to impact anything.

So everyone is still reporting the computer-indicated mileage is inflated over actual? What am I missing?

on our last 4,000 km road trip, total average as per dash was 10.0 when we got home. mix of highway & mountain trails. 2 adults, a 145 lbs dog, rooftop tent and all our gear. left it in normal mode, and switched to sand mode for the steep inclines.

Mine was/is the other way for three tanks now so data is not solid yet.
Manual mpg calculation is higher that the on board dash/computer.
