Lemon law or dump it.
I'd dump it if I was having the same issues. With the complexity of new vehicles, it's hard to tell just how reliable it will be.

I seldom buy a new vehicle, preferring to buy something a year or 2 old, CPO if possible.

If it's not a CPO I do buy a factory extended warranty.

In the last 10 years I've owned 3 Ford Escapes, and now the 2021 BL. Also a 2020 Audi Q3 and a 2021 Mercedes GLB 250, both used. I've been lucky with these vehicles, just minor issues.

Side note, I bought a new 1971 Firebird. The first rainstorm it sat outside and accumulated 2" of water on the floorboard. The 70's weren't a good decade for the Big 3.

I buy new but never a first and even a second year model in some cases.

It's the third year of production, and you'd think that the bugs would be worked out. Unfortunately, most of the issues that plague the BS are starting to emerge with this car. It's especially concerning in regards to the paint and rust issues. A car that is 5 months old (at the time the corrosion was discovered) should not have rusty body panels.

So far this week I've read about an exploding moonroof glass panel, two or three water pump failures, rust, and paint issues, a defective seatbelt mounting failure, and window switches.

A crafty member here could have some fun and draft up our issues to the tune of the "12 days of Christmas"

Any takers?

I just ordered a 2024 Equinox LS for my work vehicle (Fleet car). I don't mind them, but I wouldn't buy one myself. I have put over 75k miles on multiples though with no issues.
Chevy removed the 2.0 turbo engine option from Equinox around 2020 so I scratch it off my list of considerations after that...

Nice to see someone with a sense of humor! Unfortunately, crafty lyric making isn't one of my skill sets otherwise I'd be in!

Paint and body issues, rust issues, water leaks, drive train noise, power window issues, intermittent suspension noise. Oh, and the battery is dead.
That is just insane to have that many issues on one vehicle. Makes you wonder.

The only reason to buy a new vehicle was for the dependability. If you don't get that, there is no point. Might as well fix the old vehicle.

The only reason we got a new vehicle was to replace our 2020 CX-5 that had been in a collision and declared a total loss.
