Snorkel on a Bronco Sport?

that’s about as useless as a spike collar or a wheelie bar on a Honda.

So that means it’s just an accessory. Cut a hole in the fender, destroy the resale value and let everyone know how serious that sucker is!!! Yeah buddy whoooo weee

i had one on my land cruiser. Wish it had rubber floors…water came pouring in.

Body control modules are a concern of mine. All factory connections are "weathertite" connectors and are (with the dialectic grease manufacturers use) supposedly water proof. Again, as a mech of 36 years I have seen some fail of course, but a factory sealed, never unplugged connector does not leak water and corrode. (as evidenced by some corroded connectors on old vehicles, where 90% are still packed with white dialectic grease)

All that to say, I am going to do some research into it, but this coming weekend is the annual may 24 mud run which the badlands will be participating! As to what to expect? Here is a video from last year when I took the 06 ranger named "Boots".
This is my youtube channel;

Yes I will be videoing and the wife will be driving, we'll see how she makes out!
(and yes I am THAT guy who people say "you can't do that...holy crap he did it" as well as "you can't do that...see, now you're on your roof") Bwahahahahaha!!!!

Most of these aren't opinions on what the BS is capable of or the overall utility of snorkels. Most are restatements of facts about where electrical components are located or quotations from the user manual on the capability of the BS. By the time the snorkel comes into play, you've already done quite a bit of damage to your BS. There's even a real-world discussion of someone who did this -- forded only 20" of water, ended up frying his BCM, battled with Ford, and finally got it sorted out.

It's no different than someone asking for photos of a BS with 255 wide tires. You'll get a hundred responses of people talking about the physical limitations of the wheel wells and why they won't fit (or rub real bad).

Let’s not get off topic by citing facts. The request was whether anyone knew if a snorkel for a BS. :facepalm:

Likely it also depends on how long you leave the ECU and its connectors submerged under water and if those connectors are properly sealed from water and if the ECU is sealed. So if you don’t linger in the water it might work fine this time.

Let's hope you don't become BS #2. Folks are just helping you out with what was reported here in the past. Take it (advice/warning) or leave it.:fingerscrossed:

Can’t load the video of it going through the water but you can see the water mark at the top of the black cladding on the side and just over the black of the front bumper onto the orange.
Had several jeeps on 35’s (one had to use the bronco as a winch point, lol)

it will all be on the video when it’s done and on my YouTube channel.

Forgot to add, everyone had their off road trucks there and couldn’t believe how the bronco did. I said “it’s not a bronco, it’s a bronco sport” which got a lot of “I thought that looked smaller or something “😂😂

No signal where I am so have to use data to upload pics, videos won’t upload at all. Don’t have many pics though.
