Hi all. Late last month, my Wife and I replaced her ancient Jeep that she loved, with a 2024 Bronco Sport Badlands.

She had been eyeballing them for a couple years but finally pulled the trigger. Seems like a nice car.

Yes, I have some questions and comments but I know the deal. I'll look around first.

Welcome to the group. We too have a JEEP we love. We bought the little yellow Wrangler in November of 03. It has aged right along with us. We had talked for a while about getting a little SUV that rode better than the lifted Wrangler. On November 1 we bought a 2022 Bronco Sport Badlands and really like everything about the vehicle.

We kept that little yellow Wrangler, couldn't bring ourselves to sell it.

Thanks.

Hers was an 02 Liberty Limited. She loved it. I did not. It got crappy gas mileage and I had to work on it a fair bit but Jeeps of that era at least, had a great driveline. I never worried about her getting stuck.

Around here, Ford was running an extra incentive for Jeep owners who bought BS. Basically doubled what we would have gotten for it. I'm not sorry to see it go. Especially after playing in the snow a bit recently with the BL. Even just normal mode, is quite good and slippery, is even more solid. And with FWD and an E-locker in her back pocket, should she need it, I won't worry about her in this one either.

BTW, going from such an old vehicle, to a new one, she is definitely going through a bit of culture shock / learning curve, with all the tech.

Hey all,

I'm Brent. All my friends call me Brentwood. Just got 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands, and I have to say I love it. Eager to find some seasoned folks from Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, or Southwestern Indiana who can show me the ropes.

Many thanks for allowing me to join the group, and looking forward to some adventures!

Hi all,

Many of you already know that I’ve been participating in this forum for over a year, but never did formally introduce myself. My name is Doug, and I’ve been bitten by the Bronco Sport bug.

I gave up a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid last week and took ownership of a 2025 BS Badlands. Yes, I fell for the hybrid hype back in 2021, but came to realize it was not for me. Aside from the awful garbage truck beeping sound it made when in reverse, I never got the benefits of great gas mileage because of the few miles I drove it. The Tucson sapped the fun of driving out of me, and I didn’t like it.

I joined this forum to learn more about the BS, and after reading hundreds of comments (and writing quite a few myself) I pulled the trigger and ordered the Badlands back in August. So far it’s been a great decision.

I plan on doing some camping and light off-roading in the near future. I chose the Badlands mainly for the engine, but the extra off-road prowess is icing on the cake. It’s a great little vehicle, and I hope to enjoy many years with it.

Cheers!

New Badlands, and old Tucson:

That is a great looking BADLANDS!! I really like the front guard (not sure if it is called a brush guard.)

I don't know anything about the Tucson but it isn't fair to slap a generic "hybrid hype" on the whole sector.

My truck is a hybrid and I couldn't be happier.

The F150 Powerboost has exceeded my expectations, by quite a lot.
