I have 4,000 on my Continentals on 23 BB. They are quiet and seem fine in rain. I see no weird wear yet. Over the years I seem to have good results going 10,000 for rotations. I have a 2020 Traverse with OEM Bridgestones which have 45,000 and are going to get 50,000 easy. They were rotated at 10,000 intervals. I do agree that driving style really matters.

My '24 OBX came with 225/60/R18 Michelin Primacy A/S tires. Has anyone put some miles on those and what did you think of them. Mine have less than 700 miles so can't tell much yet.

I replaced the Scorpion ATRs with Scorpion All Terrain Plus at 8k. Now at 33k and the tread still looks new.

Keep in mind the Contis only came with 8/32 tread depth. Your replacement tires somewhere around 12/32 or greater. Plus the Contis are all season, not all terrain, meaning a softer tread hence the lousy wear. I had to swap mine out at less than 20k. I do drive a bit hard.
I have heard or read they use the tires with less tread depth for mileage ratings.

OEM tires wear out faster. Plain fact. They may be the same manufacturer and model you and I can buy off the shelf at a local tire dealer but OEM tires from the factory are made with a softer compound to give the smoothest ride possible for potential buyers. Some people get 30-40k out of them, others 15-20k (or less). All depends on driving style and conditions.
This is just not true. OEM tires and the same replacement tires are the same. No difference.

Auto manufacturers use tires designed to increase mileage. These tires have tread depth that is not as great as ultra high mileage tires. A Michelin Primacy tire will ride better and get better gas mileage than a Michelin Defender 2. However the Michelin Defender 2 will get twice the wear of the Michelin Primacy tire.

My OEM Michelin Primacy tires lasted 60,000 miles. My replacement Michelin Primacy tires now have 57,000 miles. Due to be replaced soon.

I could get Michelin Defender 2 tires, however my gas mileage would go down and the ride comfort would not be equivalent.

Also, these tires are not made with a softer compound. This would decrease gas mileage. A high performance tire is manufactured with a softer compound to increase handling and grip.

Most people that are having wear problems are not taking care of the tires. No rotation at 5,000-7,000 miles. Air pressure is not checked monthly and not corrected to factory specs.

SubstituĂ os Scorpion ATRs pelo Scorpion All Terrain Plus em 8k. Agora com 33k e a banda de rodagem ainda parece nova.

Can you show a photo of the bs with the 245 scorpion+ tires?

This discussion is why I’m still a little bit aggravated that our Badlands didn’t come with the Falkens it was supposed to have, but rather with Scorpions. Dealer said it was “a supply chain problem” and we were in a bit of a bind for a new car (18 year old Escape was rapidly failing) so we bought it. I honestly think there should have been a deduction on the sticker for substituting the lesser tires. Heck, they gave us a whole $20 off because it didn’t come with the WiFi module!

Now I’m just waiting on these to wear out so I can put the Falkens on it. May be a while. Purchased in October 2022; currently at 11,XXX but I’m driving it more since having spine surgery since it’s easier to get in and out of.

If I'm not mistaken, the Falkens were an added cost option. If you paid for them and you didn't get them then you should absolutely be entitled to a refund.

Will be buying Continental CrossContact LX25 for my wife's BL when the OE Pirelli's are done.

Bought them for my Escape when the OE tire had a sidweall bubble from a pothole at 14k.

Had them on my '14 Escape.

My wife had the earlier LX20 on her Escape

Great tire. Read ratings and reviews at
Tirerack.com.

I had the original ProContact until 50k miles. The only issue was hydroplaning in the last third of their life. Replaced with LX25. Great tire.
