These are all good points. I find the fuel differences are pretty interesting now. I never was really concerned. Arco shows up as a Top Tier fuel. I was using a local chain called Bolla for about 2 years in the Sport. It worked fine in my older cars. Maybe deposits were forming which created...
Yep...good to have. I bought boards for my '23. Got them in the bright orange color. Thankfully, never needed them yet. Used wrong they become lethal projectiles. Simple rule...don't let folks stand near them and use the absolute minimun throttle to free the car. Longer sized ones fit...
Outside water is shut off for the fall/winter. Car wasn't a mess. I used waterless (no water) wash/wax with lots of microfiber towels. Came out good. I even did the wheels. Kind of surprised how easy it was. Many brands out there and they all are good for this but I used a 'waterless' product...
2023 Big Bend/no options except for paint color/pretty inexpensive - Bought it planning to keep it for a few years. Turns out to have lots of fun factor for me and it meets my needs. Easy to clean and drive due to its size and doesn't take up much room in the driveway. I just think it's pretty cool.
Long story but same result. 1.5 on my Big Bend, 2023, no oil or gas additives and at about 12,000 miles now. I have been running 91 or 93 for about the last 1,000 miles. I was hearing what sounded like a rattle, possibly a ping but I think not a knock, only at going about 15 mph, under 1500 rpm...
Overall its the most fun vehicle to drive I've ever had. 5000 on my 2023 BB with the 1.5. Problem free. Love it. My kids and their friends think its cool. Really good fit and finish on mine. About 28 MPG in non hiway use with sport mode. Sport mode is a ton of fun. Gets compliments from other...
I read this somewhere but its correct for us 'joe driver/ regular person types'....'when I can pour in 400 or 500 miles of electricity into my battery in about 10 minutes I'll consider electric cars' - big issue is down time for charging and of course those creeping up purchase prices.
Saw these at Lowe's. $12 for 5 of them with replaceable batteries. Stuck one in the cubby by the USBs and 12 volt socket. Good for those of us who don't have the lit up rings. Lux Pro #LP172. Rated at 16 lumens, has a push on push off tap switch and says its good for 10 hours. Works great...
Never had a problem getting up to speed at all. I drive it (3 cyl 2023 BB) with a heavier foot recently. I used to baby it like I had an egg on the gas pedal. Shifted a bit rough and sort of felt the bogdown lugging thing that some folks complained about on the 3. Seems like the engine is really...
I didn't see any mention of checking tire pressure. Big difference in my 23 BB (Continentals) if pressure is 40 vs 33 (as per Ford sticker on mine). Don't forget it does have a very stiff factory suspension compared to most of the other CUVs because you can do things off road that the others...
I had...get this...a new 1976 AMC Hornet coupe in the mid 70's. I double parked with the flashers on for 2 minutes. Came back...stone dead battery. Dealer said they had a number of bad batteries factory installed. They replaced it for free. Somethings don't change. My 23 BB never exhibited a no...
I have 4,000 on my Continentals on 23 BB. They are quiet and seem fine in rain. I see no weird wear yet. Over the years I seem to have good results going 10,000 for rotations. I have a 2020 Traverse with OEM Bridgestones which have 45,000 and are going to get 50,000 easy. They were rotated at...
Scratched up the cargo area due to recovery boards being stored in the back cargo area. I saw the OP's Feb post about Eagle One Detailer. They had it at my local autoparts store. Did the bounce dryer sheet rub and it cleared it up a bit. Then I sprayed the Eagle 1 Detailer for about 2 seconds...
I washed it (her). I noticed that the brake calipers are painted in a bright silver. I cleaned the visable portions with a sponge thru the wheels (2023 BB 17" stock tires/rims). They look great. Paint or powder coat looks new (got it in Sept 23). Hope it stays this way. Really impressed. When...
I am curious. I wonder if using the autobrake hold feature has an effect? I have about 3500 on my 23 BS BB since Sept 23 and I have used the autobrake since day one. No noise....yet. I back up first thing in the morning to get out of my driveway everyday with the brakes on as my driveway slopes...
There also is a 'Ford Truck' tool set on the Ford Accesories website that is about $100 or so cheaper. It says Ford but doesn't say Bronco! It's less tools and different ones from what I can tell by looking at the pictures. Also available by using points. Both are cool but a bit pricey.
Someone scratched my Bronco BS's pillar between the front and rear door (by accident). I tried Meguiers Scratchx but I used an applicator pad, and not a microfiber towel. It removed the scratch in about a minute. It probably wasn't deep. After that I sprayed Meguiers Quik Detailer on a...
I love my BS and I am amazed at how much power Ford squeezed out of this motor. My brother brought his Mustang GT with a manual when he was with me while I was shopping for my '23BB BS. (We bought 2 cars from the same salesman. He threw in all types of goodies and free oil changes). We have...
That edge protector idea...is a great idea. Something like those door edge guards that every auto store has. I keep the blades and arms parked but dig the snow out with gloved cold fingers. I am afraid a snow brush could nick that edge paint off pretty easy.
