I was going to do all 4. I got power stop slotted on my ST after upgrading the rear to bigger rotors. But I don’t see the same ones I got available for the sport with the black hub.

Ordered the rear kit yesterday, planning a Spring ‘25 install & probably further brake upgrades at that time. Got me thinking though. 🤔 Has anyone gone all the way around & also installed the front bushing kit from Damond yet?

i plan on it but working on aux lighting right now. after this ill start compiling brake parts. going to do front and rear bushings, and change rotors and pads all around, and swap the oem fluid with Moutul.

Also considering rotors & pads, but the fluid change is interesting. If you don’t mind my asking, what would be the benefit on a street/trail truck?

I’ve just used it in the past and while I’m at it I might as well. The boiling point is usually higher than OEM fluid.

Had that done on our 21 big bend and it made situation worse. Still had brake noise and made wheels super dirty which wasn't an issue before. Breaking performance seemed to degrade also.

The fix is to get better components

Hey all, its been nearly a month. I live in the northeast. In that month we have gone from warm temps to snow, cold weather and warm again. Not a single noise or moan from the rear brakes since the Damond bushing upgrade.
Just wanted to do an update.

I have found a solution to the dreaded Ford rear brake moan. From what I have researched, the Ford TSB fix does not actually fix the issue. The caliper is flexing enough for the pads to contact the caliper causing the maon sound. The Ford fix involves a reinforced caliper bushing. I found a company called Damond Motorsports. They sell brass caliper bushings that eliminate the caliper flex completely. I installed them this weekend. Result: the moan of the rear brakes is completely gone. The part costs 85 dollars and is super simple to install. Part # is 16-13.
Thanks for this information! About how long did the installation take and did you have to bleed the brake lines?

You do not need to bleed the brakes. The rubber bushings on the caliper simply pull out of the caliper and these slide in their place. All you need special is a small snap ring plier. I did put new rotors and pads on too so that took a while total. However, I would say allow 30 min per side. That would include taking tire off, install bushings, reassemble, and put tire back on. BTW, Damond motorsports has an excellent how to video on their site.
