I have found a solution to the dreaded Ford rear brake moan. From what I have researched, the Ford TSB fix does not actually fix the issue. The caliper is flexing enough for the pads to contact the caliper causing the maon sound. The Ford fix involves a reinforced caliper bushing. I found a company called Damond Motorsports. They sell brass caliper bushings that eliminate the caliper flex completely. I installed them this weekend. Result: the moan of the rear brakes is completely gone. The part costs 85 dollars and is super simple to install. Part # is 16-13.

i seen those for the focus ST application but already have great braking on that so never spent the money. i did however install all 3 of their motor mounts for the Focus and they have nice build quality.

ill probably pick these up for the BS

That’s interesting and Ford released their latest TSB 24-2348 10/29/2024, Ford should have known about Damond Motorsports brass caliper bushings or maybe Ford is using them in TSB 24-2348 ?? Who knows.

Just looked at the parts in the new TSB. Same from last except some new brake pad clips. The same reinforced (with hard plastic) bushing from the last TSB. This is the third or 4th version of the TSB. My fix is a touch more money, but is a one and done deal.

I called the company. The Escape and Bronco Sport have the same calipers.
They have ones for the front as well. I just bought the rears. My brake pedal feel is also much better with this upgrade.

I upgraded the rotors and pads too. If you want an incredible deal on rotors and pads, get Powerstop z23 kit. I ordered the kit that came with rear pads, and 2 drilled and slottes rotors for $140.00. To add to that value, Powerstop has a $50 rebate on tbat kit. So for 80 bucks total, the whole rear is done.
Crazy deal.
