'08 Merc Mariner, 2012 Mustang (R.I.P), 2022 BS BL
BS BL gets here this week 35/M. Technically this is my wife's car as her '08 Merc Mariner was starting to show its age so we were just going to get what we could for it, she wanted an OB but the price difference isnt all that different so I talked her in the BL (dual climate zones is a non negotiable for us). Then my Mustang got totaled so...I fixed the Mariner and drive it the 5 miles to work and back and this will still be her car...BUT its kind of going to be my toy to tinker with too...?

58m married had an 02 F-150 SuperCrew, was having issues with my wife’s 05 Escape. So we decided to go look at New cars. We were literally driving by the Ford Dealership, was stuck at a red light and while glancing over at the Dealership I was watching a gentleman driving a Brand New Sport off of the semi, into the Ford Dealers parking lot so the wife an I decided to stop an check it out. We took that New Sport for a test ride (I was like a kid in a candy store except the prices are waayy different.) So we purchased it on the spot. (The still kinda kid in me.) I grew up as a Mechanic and at my age currently I decided that I didn’t wanna fix anything anymore so I traded in my baby and we junked the Escape. So it’s kinda hers but I drive it all the time an Luv it. I also thought about the Full Size Bronco but we decided that we didn’t need 3 cars for just the 2 of us ( kids are all grown and on there own, so we decided to downsize. So I kept my Mustang ( of course I did.) and we got the New Bronco Sport for her but she doesn’t drive it, she has me as her chauffeur, I’m medically retired Cuz of a back injury and she works part time for the local school department. So I take her to work an pick her up. Believe me I think she likes it to much. (me being the chauffeur)

31 Year old Male. I use it as a commuter car. Drive 90 miles a day round trip. I was originally looking into a civic, corolla, crv or rav4 however there was no way I was going to pay any type of market or accessories. Luckily I came across the bronco sport and got a decent deal.

Wife's Bronco Sport , its what she wanted when they were first advertised . I just traded my 2016 Super Duty on a 2022 class B RV on a Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 Chassis , it will be my daily driver . The F250 sat in the driveway , only used it a couple times a month , we went every where in the BS .

Just curious about the age and gender demographics of current owners. Most importantly, regardless of who pays for it, who claims "it's mine" and drives it the majority of the time. I've been seeing a lot of female drivers, both young and older driving BS's in San Diego, way more than male drivers. I'm having that mid-life crisis at 40 on whether or not the BS is going to be my 'manly' car. You know how it is when you drive a 2011 Honda CR-V (this guy) and 90% of other drivers you see in the same car are double your age and/or the opposite gender. Those that have been here, know what I'm feeling. The majority of guys I know do not want to be seen in the soccer mom van, Prius, smart car, VW beetle, Kia soul, etc. Before anyone says it, I have no desire for the big Bronco, nor need to spend that much for a car that I will never use to its full capability. Also, yes a truck is a way to go, but I don't have a desire to haul around hot air 99% of the time. Crossovers or mid-size SUVs are my sweet spot. I have a BS BL on order (no production date) but am also looking at the new Mazda CX-50. Thank you for your responses in advance.
It is mine! I'm 54 (wife is 51 married, 30 years in April) it is my daily driver 50miles each way. I wanted something to drive every day and still get me to some remote fishing spots. Wife still has not driven it since November when I got it.

BS/BB my wife's DD. She is 60, & I am 64. She wanted one since I showed it to her. She has owned a 85 Bronco II, 94 Explorer Sport, & 2 99 Explorer Sports one of which we still own which is now my DD. She drives 40 minutes one way to work so she gets the new vehicle, I only drive 10 minutes.

Love this thread! I was always curious about the demographic of people owning a BS and also being on this forum. I agree with everyone else about how this car is genderless - you make it your own.

As for me; I'm 37, female, married w/ 1 child. I used to drive a lifted Jeep Sahara 2 door, but had to sell it once I was pregnant. Always loved the restored original Broncos and when I found out Ford was remaking the Bronco, I knew I wanted it. Similar to another poster on here - I originally fell in love with the BS on the first pictures that were released. I was and still am very excited to own one. To me, I always felt like it was the best of both worlds. Something that is capable in all weather (which I got spoiled with my Jeep), but also has creature comforts (which I always loved) plus great gas mileage and comfortable for my child. Not to mention, drives way better than a Jeep too. It has everything I could ever want in a vehicle.

Oh and also, my husband does not drive my vehicle ? and if he ever does... I am not happy about it ?

Oh….. it’s hers. But she doesn’t like the “no seat memory button” thing….. so I get to drive it.

she still loves her flex (paid for) anyway.

And I did give up my mustang for it. And it was my idea. And I’ve decided what upgrades I want to do for “her” bronco.

it’s hers.

she does the bills.

so

hers.

it’s easier to get permission to buy one for her.

?

Ford Ranger,
Before the Broncos were revealed, i would show my wife spy shots and renderings of both Broncos. She just fell in love with the Baby Bronco. We ordered her a 22 badlands in September and she got it in early January. I have a 21 Ranger which i love, and a beater 2005 freestar mini van. I rarely get a chance to drive her badlands, but I like it a lot. I would not hesitate to get one.

34 yr old female. It's mine, it will be 1 year old in April. It is not an everyday car unless my back starts to hurt. This is the biggest car I have (other is a 2014 ford fiesta), it's my first suv. A bronco would have been my first car back in 2007-2008 if the one I was looking at did not have a cracked windshield so when they came back I had to get one.

53, male, married, all my Kids >22y/o. BS/BL is my daily driver. Used to drive a Murano 2011, but needed some tougher vehicle to drive down route 123 at night from office. Occasional off-roading. Here in Puerto Rico I have seen both sexes, all age groups driving a BS. Everybody asks way being a physician did not went with the full size. Well, the BS meet all my needs, is easy on gas. And at least here, BS is almost half the price of a full size. The cash saved could pay some nice vacations or good rounds of golf.

Just turned 40
Male, married for 18 years with 2 teenagers.

I’ve seen more female drivers than male drivers. And most of those have been the outerbanks. I try to not assume a vehicle is suited to any one gender or age. I picked the bronco sport cuz it’s a daily driver, awesome safety ratings and it’s traction control options living in the frozen tundra. I also learned to drive on a 1989 manual bronco sport II. So it had some sentimental value to me as it felt like a tip of the hat to that car and I loved that thing.
I loved my '88 Bronco II manual transmission. I would have kept it if the floor under the windshield wipers didn't rust out. Traded it in for a '98 Explorer Sport 2dr manual, then traded that in for a '99 Merc Mountaineer as our family continued to grow in numbers. Can't wait for delivery of the new BS BB.
