Anyone with a basket how bad is the wind noise empty and does it reduce your mpg much? Planning a 5,000 mile road trip this summer. Considering getting a basket just Incase we end up coming home with more stuff than we left with.

I've been looking for some crossbars, but wasn't sure what to buy or what rack I wanted.

I wound up going for this deal at Summit Racing in case I decide to go with the Rhino Pioneer Platform. The legs needed for the platform cost more than the kit that includes them....lol

I have a sunroof on my 23 BS BB. Do you know if this set up works with the sunroof? If you don't have a sunroof, would you mind measuring the distance between the front crossbar and the roof?

Not sure I don't have one. The bottom of the front crossbar to the roof is roughly 3.25 inches. You'd probably want to measure the height of your existing rails vs those of my 2025 Badlands and possibly the measurement from my existing rail to the underside of the crossbar....LMK if you need them.

Thanks for the quick reply! The cheap Amazon cross bars I have on now are only 2.75" from the sunroof, so seems like it would be fine.

Did that kit from Summit include the legs to attach tot he roof rails? I am seeing this on the site, but the description says that the roof rack adapters are not included.

Yes it was the complete kit crossbars and legs. The packaging wasn't the greatest, so there's a possibility of scuffs or scratches on the rails. Mine was shipped in the original boxes inside a bigger box with no protection at all. I think it was the original Rhino kit box? If any annoying scratches, you can always use Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black to touch them up.

Yakima LockNLoad attached directly to towers with adapters from Yakima, no crossbars needed. Also added just the side rails to the platform.
