Better seats for sure. option for glass roof, swing rear gate with rear tire mount like the big bronco. Keep the new refresh elements. Standard clutch locking rear end. Get rid of the air cooled PTU. blue cruise. That's all i want

Swinging rear gate would be kinda cool especially for those of us who had bigger tires put on. Could fit a full size spare without compromising trunk space.

2025 - New MPC engines, bumpers, grill, wheels, relocated rear cam, 12.3" digital instrument cluster, 13.2" infotainment display, Sync 4, enhanced Co-Pilot 360+
More standard equipment & lower price...uniquely styled compact SUV under $26k USD...decent value plus it doesn't look like a generic station wagon!
I'd like to see GEN2 production moved to USA!

Unfortunately, 2025’s now start at 29,995. No longer under 26k. But they do have the rainbow trout edition this year.

I’m still new to life with a Bronco Sport so my criticisms are extremely minor so far. And there are a lot of equally passionate owners here yet with more mileage under them.

It’s usual for manufactures to upsize vehicles they redesign from generation to generation. So it could be interesting to consider what Ford might take away from owners of the current version.

Speaking for myself, at this point, I don’t want to see the Bronco Sport look radically different or get much bigger than it is presently. I don’t think it needs to get that much more powerful either. Candidly fuel economy seems to have largely stagnated as vehicles get ever heavier and more powerful, any gained fuel efficiency is lost. I sure as hell don’t want to see the info screen get any bigger and I don’t want to see the loss of physical controls. And I absolutely don’t want to see what they did to the 2024 Mustang putting a stretched out iPad on a shelf as the dashboard and calling it a day.

Thoughts or ideas anyone?

As guy tired of drinking problems (miserable mpg) and incessant bloat in the off-roading world, my wish for the Bronco Sport is current Badlands plus....

1) hybrid - designed for max mpg not necessarily for increased power

2) granny gear (or something equivalent to a Wrangler's 1st gear in 4-Low)

3) wheel wells big enough to fit 33" tires without a lift or other mods

4) Toyota or Honda-like reliability

5) front locker or equiv

6) 1,000 lbs lighter

7) 6" narrower

8) 1.5 L engine available on Badlands

9) tow 3,500 lbs

10) 12" ground clearance (after 33s fitted)

Ford, congrats. You've got a good thing going with Bronco Sport Badlands. Now push the concept into orbit. Make it the Prius of the 4x4 world.

I understand the Heritage Edition. I don’t get this, though. I remember when they were doing this to Econoline vans and Pinto wagons in the ‘70s. It fit the vibe of the time, but not now. Besides there are no porthole windows here.

I'd say everything depends on how the Escape and Jeep Recon go over the next two years. I don't expect an electric, but a hybrid option would be a palatable option. Upgraded ADAS capability too on top trims. And I'd say low chance but...removable doors or roof panels if the Recon really proves it out in the current market.

Personally, I'd just like it easier to add some front protection bars that don't hamper my adaptive cruise control. I'm really sick of idiots merging inches in front of me while swiping their tiktoks on their mounted phone.

Recon's destined to be another overpriced Mexican built Stellantis flop.
Don't see the point of a BS hybrid...not interested.

We like our Bronco Sport Badlands, but here's a few little things I'd like to see improved.
Either a powered rear hatch or a gate that swings to the side.
The hood vibrates at highway speeds, it needs to be stiffened up or redesigned.
Access to the oil drain plug and oil filter without removing the entire bash plate.
A drain plug in the liquid cooled PTU would be nice.
The seats aren't that comfortable, especially the passenger seat.

Pie-in-the-sky idea: a 2dr. Bronco Sport model. I know this would likely be a niche model and nowhere near as popular as the 4dr.

Now more realistically. Better fuel economy without sacrificing power or more power without sacrificing fuel economy. In the least a bigger gas tank.

Also, if they can put pneumatic struts on the rear hatch and hatch window they can put them on the hood instead of that silly manual prop rod. They’re not saving much in weight or costs.

I see one comment in this thread that 2026 would be the last of the Bronco Sport. I'm guessing that was a joke. Anyway, being in the market for a 2025 BS, I like what I see. I hope the 2027 re-design keeps the same dimensions. I would like to see the 2.0 EB engine available as an option on the lower trims. I'd also like to see a hybrid option. That may present some issues since the hybrid set-up in the Maverick isn't really designed for off road vehicle like the BS. Perhaps the 2.0 EB hybrid found in the Lincoln Nautilus could be used.
