With only 350mi on my Big Bend, I took a highway road trip of 400mi @70-75mpg (no cruise control - breaking in) and temps in the 40s & I was able to get 31.4mpg (hand calculated, said 32.5 in the trip info). Not bad at all considering it's rated for 28mpg Hwy!

That is good to hear! I was hoping for more than the EPA Estimates as my 2018 Colorado with a 2.5L gets 31-32 MPG on the highway at similar speeds.

That's great! I have a Badlands and took a 250 mile trip (less than 400 miles on it now) at mostly 70-75 mph with strong cross and headwinds most of the way with elevations of 5000-7000 feet and got 24 mpg. EPA is 26 but I'm pretty happy with that at elevation and fighting a lot of wind. No doubt it'll average 26 mpg on a normal day.

I have a lot of backcountry road driving with some interstate. First tank just yielded me 27mpg which was also what the dash indicated. So not only am I "right on the money" for MPG in said use case - but the dash didn't lie to me!

This is coming from a V6 Colorado ZR2 where I was lucky to get 18-19MPG for similar driving.

Base Model:

I'm In the Appalachian Mountains, My valley's are 1500 feet above sea level, My home is at 2,000 and I have friends at 3,000 feet so I'm climbing and descending often. I have a few 14 % grades crawling up loose gravel. I only drive about 800 miles a month.
75% is relaxed rolling hills on a 4 lane, no as you were. 'The' four lane, there is only one. 15 miles to town and only two stop lights. I cruse the 4 lane at 65 mph.
In cruse control these rolling hills make my Dragon shift 1 or 2 gears down to climb. These shifts are super smooth with no drama.

The Turbo does it all. I'll start a grade at 1800 rpm and top it a quarter or half mile later in a lower gear or two at 2200 rpm. On one particular climb with a strong head wind It chose another gear and I was at 2500 rpm, again, the 1.5L remained smooth, quiet and drama free giving the Impression It was not working very hard at all.

On these cold mornings, 27-32 degree's I use my phone to start It from Inside the house and It warms up for 15 minutes.
I accelerate briskly, never race off lights or drive like a teenager.
I find Sport Mode cool and play with it occasionally but don't ever actually need it.
I dislike the Eco mode, makes my engine feel like It's dying or needs a tune up :p

At 800 miles now,
Averaging 26.2 mpg over the 800 miles, I have not reset this.

We drove 8 hrs 540 miles from Missouri to Texas to pick up a badlands 2.0. Wife drove it home we ranged from 70-80 the entire way home. 28.2 mpg. Slightly better than the 6.2 superduty with 4.30 gears that I drove back

My Badlands is averaging a little under 27 mpg after 4500 miles and much of that is in the dirt. Mileage definitely went up a couple mpg after the break-in period. Frequently getting 28-30 mpg now on normal dirt 30-60 mph outings.

Best overall: 41.4 mpg on a quiet two lane highway at 60 mph.

Best so far over a long distance: 36.6 mpg on an approx 190 mile trip.

averaging 37 mpg on base model taking it easy in normal or eco mode. even in sport mode it's easy to get 33. love'n the Bronco....i thought about getting a hybrid something model, but this Bronco is better in so many ways and i don't really sacrifice in mpg's if i don't want too!

I'd like to see some low numbers. My commute is an hour in traffic mostly 1st and sometimes 2nd gear. What should I expect?
