Just ran through the first tank on my BL and am getting 21.5 mpg in Normal mode, which is way better than the 16.5 I was getting with my Wrangler.

I’m averaging 23.5mpg. Daily as high as 29mpg all day highway driving, after taking my roof basket off, as low as 16.7mpg in half a day of gridlocked Los Angeles streets.

This is from my Badlands. This was a 50/50 mix of 55mph flats and curvy mountain highways with a little city/town driving in between. Almost always used the 360+ adaptive cruise and Eco. This engine holds the cruise setting no matter the hill or load even in Eco mode. Very impressive.

You might be onto something. We are at 2500 miles and have averaged 25 mpg, and this is on the 1.5L.

I just got mine but so far it's 18 mpg on my commute. My fiesta does 27 on same route. This will get a while to get used to! :)
Edit: 1000 miles in and up to 23MPG in my city traffic driving.

Wow I must be doing it wrong...Badlands 720 miles 20.2 mpg. Mostly city suburb but still lol.........
So I have a badlands. I'm at 2200 miles. I was averaging 24.4 mpg running to work. Just reset with a full tank and ran the turnpike 65-75 mph on cruise and using eco-mode. It was 186 miles and we pulled 27.7 mpg. As osco said I think it's getting better the more I drive it

I just completed another long trip with the 2.0. I generally drive in Eco as long as I'm not pulling mountains and curves and I'm at 28 for the trip and 26 overall for the first 2,000 miles. I'm very pleased with the mileage so far given the stated expectations and my result. I was a bit worried that the MPG ratings might be crafted in Eco mode and I wouldn't realize any further increase. This 2.0 engine is an absolute rocket when you want it to be and not at all sluggish in Eco drive.

I don't know if anyone has played around with the FordPass and the Journeys feature. It's pretty buggy, but it's convinced me (well, I was already 100% convinced) that I would never use one of those plug in ODB insurance trackers. The Fordpass app clinches it. This is the result of 200 miles, driven 80% of the time on Eco and with adaptive cruise active:

If that was used by an insurance actuary, it would only be to punish. I don't know how the app makes these determinations. I absolutely know I put my foot in it to enter a highway and to pass once. I didn't burn rubber, I just went from 0-60 asap. I know I once had to swerve and brake when the jackhat next to me tried to change lanes into my doors. Outside of that any "harsh" scores were the result of the adaptive cruise and nothing seemed harsh about it to the riders.

Anyways, if 40% harshness generates 28mpg, the 100% excellent rating must be unbelievable, if not also be unattainable.
