My Hi-Lift jack (slightly shortened and disassembled) and an army shovel also fit once you take out the silly foam inserts. I'd rather have a Hi-LIft than a floor jack.

Right now, I store spare atmosphere in there along with a spare and crappy jack.

you never know when an asteroid will skim the earth stealing our air. Or an alien race on a journey across the cosmos that needs to replenish their air for survival of their species.
Oh, how close to the truth you are... eek... one of my many encounters captured on my road trips through backroads...truth!

I am trying to take advantage of the storage space in the spare tire area. The Fanttik T8 Jump Starter and X8 Tire Inflator fit perfectly in the foam tray. I got a 1/2" torque wrench and a non-mar lug socket; They fit the foam cutouts nicely too. And, I keep a tow strap, soft shackles, axles straps, and a trailer hitch shackle in there; I don't off-road (on-purpose ), but winter snow is bad here; Folks get stuck all the time... In the cracks and crevices, I stuffed things like tie-down straps. rags, gloves, 50' of paracord, and a spare antenna and connectors for the GMRS.

I'm curious what other folks use this space for, and what I might be missing in my kit.

My recovery strap, removable rear tow hook, various tie downs and bungee cords and my 1st Aid Kit.

I pulled out the foam insert and flipped the tire upside down for more space. I have an axe, army shovel, tow rope, Hi-lift Jack (dissassembled and cut shorter) Lift-Mate, tool bag, socket set, rope, flares, and of course the original scissor jack and lug wrench. I cut up a blue backpacking foam pad to keep things from rattling. I debated taking out the insulating pad under the tire, but worried the catalytic converter might melt things.

Right now I’m carrying:

- One forty-five caliber automatic
- Two boxes of ammunition
- Four days' concentrated emergency rations
- One drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine,
vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills
- One miniature combination Russian phrase book and Bible
- One hundred dollars in rubles
- One hundred dollars in gold
- Nine packs of chewing gum
- One issue of prophylactics
- Three lipsticks
- Three pair of nylon stockings.

It’s a tight fit but a fella can’t be too prepared.

I live in Chicago, and I am a CCL holder. So the possibility of a gunshot wound requiring a Chest Seal is a real possibility. I carry Hyfin Vented Chest Seals in my IFAK and EDC. The NAR brand is quality stuff.
Throw in a box of unscented tampons for through and throughs. ?

Spare tire (I think). I guess I need to check.
