Ford Bronco Sport Installed Falken Wildpeak 245/65/17s on the Badlands today -- no rub and ride great IMG_2548

Thanks to everyone that has posted so much info to this site. Went with the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 245/65/17 tires. No rub and they ride great. Not very much noise tbh. They look like they just belong there!
This is the route I'm thinking of taking in Brand and Sizing... with those 245'x65x17s... I just do not want to contend with a lift kit if possible... so question?

Is yours a STOCK BL's ? I know others say yes... but I do a lot of off roading with mine and its dinky stock Perilli 225x65x17's.... ugh. I guess I shouldn't be too hard on them... they have pulled me through some off road trails... but always 'icy"...

However, as soon as they wear down she more replacing with a better AT tire.

Just for reference, a lift will not allow for a bigger tire. The rub happens at the back/bottom/center of the front wheel wells when the wheel is turned and suspension is compressed somewhat.

I just ordered five (5x) of the Falken Wildpeak A/T, 235/65/17 tires myself today, which includes one for replacing the spare.
The stock tires are the Pirelli 225/65/17 tires, and the optional are the Falken Wildpeak A/T, 235/65/17.
I wanted a more aggressive tire for going offroad and was told that the Falken Wildpeaks's
are pretty good tires.
Hopefully they come in tomorrow.

The difference in OD is 0.25", or 0.125 per side, which shouldn't affect the RPM's too much, if any.

Well, I got my 235/65/17 Falken Wildpeak A/T tires installed today.

They don't seem to be any nosier than the stock Pirelli's.

I compared my speedometer readings to my GPS, and there was very little, if any differences in speed.

Once again, the difference in the OD of the stock 225-65-17 tires and this 235-65-17, is 0.25" (1/4"), or 0.125" (1/8") per side.

Actually it is .393701 inches.
I went w/what the tire dealer showed me via their computer.

At any rate, comparing my speedometer and my GPS, there's very little difference in my speed readings, and that's what's important, at least to me anyway.
Before w/the old 225's, at 65 mph, both my dash and GPS showed a steady 65. With the new tires, they're both 65, w/an occasional 66 popping up on the GPS vs. 65 on the dash.

There could be a lot of factors when it comes to readings, including temperature, in the 30's, as well as the road condition, being wet.

According to this chart, it shows a 0.051" difference, or 0.255" per side.

235/65-17225/65-17Difference
Diameter inches (mm)29.03 (737.3)28.52 (724.3)-0.51 (-13) -1.8%
Width inches (mm)9.25 (235)8.86 (225)-0.39 (-10) -4.3%
Circum. inches (mm)91.19 (2316.3)89.58 (2275.46)-1.61 (-40.84) -1.8%
Sidewall Height inches (mm)6.01 (152.75)5.76 (146.25)-0.26 (-6.5) -4.3%
Revolutions per mile (km)694.79 (431.72)707.26 (439.47)12.47 (7.75) 1.8%

UPDATE:

Took a ride yesterday.
Noise, low but slightly noticeable over the stock Pirelli's.

Took it offroad a little, including going through some mud and snow. No issues whatsoever.

The speedometer got slightly off the faster I drove, comparing it to my GPS reading, going from the stock 225-65-17 to the 235-65-17 tires.
I'm still taking it easy, speed wise.

60 -> 60
65-> 65
70 -> 71

Fuel mileage, still approximately around 26 MPG according to the dash.
