Was about to say "hard pass" on any accessory held on by 3M automotive tape only, then remembered the hood deflector staring at me like Michael Myers day after day. Just waiting for its chance.

Got my BS knocked out yesterday afternoon on the way home from work. The dealer's service department fixed it in about an hour. Well worth your time for the PCM programming alone, IMO. Night and day performance improvement.

"Fiery Death Trap" until I get recall 24S16 taken care of tomorrow.

I like my BS far more than four door soft top Broncos. If money were no object, though, a two door hard top Bronco would be my daily driver.

Please keep us posted with service department updates. It will be interesting to see if the issue is indeed battery related only. Sorry your BS is being a pain.

That's nuts. Love my BS, but I'd switch to Honda or another reliable make/dealer myself once it was financially possible if that happened. Hope you have a reputable local chain that'll take care of oil changes, tire rotation and other basic routine maintenance. Guess keeping their brand loyal...

Think you have it pegged. Service manager only wants high dollar jobs, so either make the customer overpay on accessory installations or go elsewhere.

Definitely planned to get the GM involved if the service manager hadn't "done me a favor" as he put it. Turnover for his job is so high at the particular dealer, I'm pretty sure when it's time for 10k mile scheduled maintenance in a few months he'll be gone and I won't have to worry about the...

Good question. If they did, it wouldn't be much. Total retail for both parts is about $200. Had everyting shipped to me and planned to do the installs myself but the unending heat wave changed my mind.

Bonus info: I was only there for about 90 minutes. Installs look great.
