I picked a date that's a ways off for a number of reasons, but I am excited.
In the meantime, what advice would those of you who have gone give to someone looking forward to it?
I'll be attending in New Hampshire.
Thanks in advance!
I’m just basing this on the options on the Ford website from…. 10 months ago(?) when I was ordering my car.
Taking the flares locked out taking the mudflaps, and vice-versa. It looks to me like maybe they overlap a little in where they mount, but to be honest I didn’t look too deeply into it...
As far as I know you can order them directly from Bushwacker. They are an “aftermarket” company, Ford just offers their stuff.
Sadly I can tell you that these particular flares are incompatible with the mudflaps- so you’d have to remove those to fit the flares.
I assumed the lack of stops was because of this behavior. I always put it into park, but if there are stops then each position is married to a gear. No stops and you’re just spinning the dial to move the indicator.
Is the basket actually any taller than the antenna?
I did put my BL into a parking garage that was 7’-someodd before I put 245s on it and it felt tight. My secondary hesitation about a lift kit is clearance issues.
Comet III.
My Wrangler was Comet, named after Brisco County, Jr’s horse Comet the Wonder Horse.
My Cherokee was Comet II.
Comet earned a Black Lantern ring after being resurrected with a new engine at one point. The ring went to Comet II and is now on Comet III.
The ones in my photo were the option on the 22 Badlands for “unpaintable” fender flares straight from Ford. They are Bushwacker and have Bushwacker logos/branding. I don’t know exactly what you mean by the “end cap of the flares”, but the logos on mine are discreetly tucked inside the wheel...
I appreciate it. I might eventually get one if I find a decent rewards program on a card that I can pay off every month for no interest, but I haven’t felt compelled to go looking.
I’m fortunate that my debit cards have some pretty robust protections. I also don’t keep a lot of money in the...
I’d have to assume so. The keyless entry is just a keypad that unlocks the door when a code is input, you don’t have to activate it or anything. From the car’s perspective, it’s just running at idle with the fob in it and the doors locked, same as if you’re sitting in it making a phone call or...
Some Bronco Sports have a keyless entry system that would allow you to leave the fob in the car with it running. I don’t know if it’s standard across all trims/model years, but I’ve done it with my 22 Badlands. I did it so my mother could listen to the radio. Same basic thing.
She didn’t need a...
The non-Badlands trims (except maybe the Heritage?) don’t have the hardware to use the extra GOAT modes. They weren’t left off as some kind of gatekeeping/paywall move.
I could have paid cash for my BL, but I chose to finance the absolute minimum possible because I haven’t paid off a car loan in 20-ish years and want it for my credit history.
First month payment was the bulk of the loan. I’ll pay $100/month for the next year or so to establish on-time...
Do you mean the Aeroskin II? My original plan was to pick that up with my FordPoints (I’ve gone to the same mechanic for 20-ish years, some anonymous Ford tech isn’t touching my car if I can help it). Not as sure now.
I am not a girl (last I checked) and the only reason I didn’t have a moonroof put on my BL is because it’s an add-on to a package full of stuff I didn’t want. If I could have simply added the moonroof alone, I absolutely would have.
