2021 badlands with 20k miles. Zero battery issues. Went in for regular service and they inspected battery as precursor to recall. Battery checked out fine. Not all 12v may be bad.
If it’s one of the Chinese made batteries and your vehicle falls in the date window of recall 25S02 then getting the dealership to replace the battery is prudent (regardless if the battery is still testing good once the Recall is ready to go with replacement batteries)

Right -- in fact very few are bad.

If I understand the recall correctly, if a battery was made by Camel there is a 1% chance of failure. If the mfr is Clarios almost none of them have had problems.

Unfortunately for us, the label on our battery says "Made in China" which means it's made by Camel.

I need some advice on this issue. I started experiencing the auto start/stop issues that are described in this recall. However, a few weeks later and now my battery is completely dead. Can't even start it with a jump. I called my dealer and, as it says online, there is no fix currently. I am not even sure if this is only related to the recall or if there is another problem. If I buy a battery myself will I get refunded by the recall? Or any advice on what to do? My wife and I are getting by with 1 car rn.

What I'm not comprehending for this recall is the "Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available" part.
What is in the remedy besides changing the EFB for an AGM (and resetting the BMS)? I have a hard time thinking that the AGMs are in short supply these days. Cheers!

My guess is Ford is pushing the Chinese battery supplier (manufacturer of the batteries stated in recall 25S02) to fix the design and manufacturing issues, build the good batteries and put them into the supply chain. Likely Ford would not eat the full cost of the recall. But in this case was EFB batteries that mostly failed so… will Ford install replacement AGM Batteries? Probably … so Maybe was a negotiated plan between Ford and the battery manufacturer to ramp up production of an AGM Battery. Only Ford knows why there is the delay.

As Dude said I am thinking that for the recall the batteries are coming from the same supplier as the defective battery because I am not aware of an AGM battery shortage at this time. My EFB battery was tested and failed in early January and was replaced with the AGM battery. Not part of the recall. Also Ford Parts website shows the battery for a 23 Bronco Sport will be delivered in 1 or 2 business days if purchasing now.

Vehicle Battery
Part #: BAGM48H6760 (BAGM48H6760)

Usage: 70 AH, 760 Amp, 10/26/2020, BRONCO SPORT (C430N)
Section:Battery and Mountings
This part will be available within 1-2 business days.
Pick up only

Yeah, Dude is probably correct. My current EFB battery says made in Mexico, so I'm thinking it's a Clarios. I would prefer that a replacement AGM be a Clarios vice a Camel ?
Free is Free, however. Cheers!

Do you drive it every day and if so for how many minutes each day? Like i mentioned earlier in this Thread it was -12 Last Wednesday and even with the Battery Maintainer/Charger on it for 3 hours it still turned over pretty slow but started. I had Auto Zone Test the Battery the next day and the CC Amps was right on the Factory 700 specs but he said it only was showing a 25% Charge. But my drive to work and back is 15 minutes each way so not much charging time.
Today it was in the low 40's outside so i decided to Clean My Rubber Bronco Sport Floor Liners and the plastic panels inside all 4 doors that had Mud and Salt on them.About 30 minutes later i get in it and the funny sounding door chime is going off with the Drivers Door Open.I knew when it made that sound what was going to happen System Off To Save Battery came up.It started fine and i went to Bob Evans to pick up food i ordered and it was fine when i left Bob Evans no System Off To Save Battery.About 20 minutes run time and it was fine FWIW i still haven't received a Recall Notice for the Battery.

The problem is Ford does not have enough batteries in stock to cover replacement for all the cars affected by the recall. My suggestion would be to contact Ford customer support and ask them what you should do.

2021 First Addition and my battery went out about 6 months ago when my vehicle was about 3 years old. Not happy with Ford and their choice of Batteries. I purchased a new AGM with a 4 year warranty from Walmart. Looked up tests and reviews of batteries and the Walmart was as good if not better than others.

Is it an Ever Start if so i've had good luck with those Batteries not the AGM Version but regular the Standard Batteries.

Problem was/is big enough for Ford to initially tune all the Bronco sports charging systems only to discover it's probably diminished or below spec batteries that are failing provided by cheapest bidder not the original spec.

Check your online Ford account. I haven't received one in the mail but it's listed there. You can also check here:
https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

I suppose if you've been in the service at all they may have cleared it if your battery isn't the effected supplier.

I look at this situation differently. Ford tried to resolve the problem cheaply with the reprogramming instead of resolving the problem by replacing batteries. They got caught providing an insdequate resolution to a serious problem.
