Cup Holder Ambient Lighting

So is the wiring there for all 2021 trims, or just some of them? Confused.

I think since the Outer Banks is the only model that has ambient lighting, it's the only one with the cup holder wiring.

I really wanted to do this with my Outer Banks, but alas, there was no wiring. Mine was built in Feb. 22.

My OB built 12/23/21 has wiring, part arrived yesterday, installed with no problem.
Cup holders light when opening door, lights on “auto”, or manual headlights, but go out when switch is manually moved to parking lights ???

How hard was it to lift out the shifter console? Thanks

Not very difficult at all. I used a small plastic pry tool to lift up one edge and was able to get my fingers underneath to pry it up and off to check to see if I had the wiring

Are you sure? Mine was built in January and has the wiring.

I think I’m sure … pulled up the console trim and didn’t see any extra wiring. Maybe I just don’t know what I’m looking for - this is totally possible

Well where’s there a will there’s a way, I couldn’t find any Extra wiring on my BigBend Model, I purchased the Escape cup holder from Levit Town Ford for $ 18.38 I’m gonna with some help from a buddy figure how to tap into the Blue Lights that are already in the console so I can get my cup holder to light up on my BigBend. ( Stay Tuned.)

If you look at the bottom of your cup holders, if there is a wiring harness plugged into the circled location in the picture, that's the wiring you need. It unplugs from there and plugs into the ambient lit cupholders.

Interested in how this turns out. The thing with the Outer Banks is there's a dimmer control for the ambient lights under the vehicle controls in the display.

When I took mine apart last week I had no extra wire harnesses around, but what I did see was that my Goat Mode Dial was lit up blue, so I’m gonna try to tap into that harness to get my cup holder lit up also.
