The most obvious way to spot it, is the square box center of the grille. If it has that, the Bronco has the adaptive cruise.
So it sounds like the BS uses a combination of radar and camera for the adaptive cruise control.

But for those monotonous straight highways that go on for dozens of miles it is very convenient.
Isn't that what the rumble strips are there for? ?

I got Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ for the Adaptive Cruise Control (don’t use or trust its Stop-and-Go feature).

Here is my assessment. Lane Centering is a PITA keeping hands on with enough torque applied to the steering wheel (best to locate hands at the bottom of the steering wheel). I disabled Lane Centering because it’s unpredictable (dangerous) around tight turns and with inconsistent lane markings. (Disabled lane keeping too which is a Co-Pilot360 feature).

Disabled speed sign recognition after 1 pass through a 25mph school zone on a Saturday. Too dangerous (encourages rear and collisions).

Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ Features:
☑Adaptive Cruise Control w/ Stop-and-Go (don’t use Stop-and-Go)
❌Adaptive Cruise Control w/ Lane Centering ?
☑Evasive Steering Assist
☑Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation
❌Speed Sign Recognition ? ?
NOTE: Adaptive Cruise Control with Speed Sign Recognition = Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control ???

Adaptive Cruise Control works great!!
I like the adaptive Cruise Control too when someone else has it! It gives me a spot to pull in on the interstate when it leaves a big gap between it and the car in front of it.

Ahh...glad you brought that up! How does the BS handle drivers that pass you, then move back into your lane within feet of your front bumper? Does the adaptive cruise control slam on the brakes at the sudden intrusion into your space? The Tucson is smart enough to gradually back off from the car in front until the set distance is reached as long as the car in front is continuing to move away at a higher speed.

Yep. Distance / collision avoidance is radar, lane centering and other parts are based on the camera behind the rear view mirror.

Personally, I love it, and the BS is way better than the big bronco in this regard. It's a pretty good system.

It backs off gradually. Its closest distance setting is a bit long for heavy traffic, but it's pretty good about not slamming on the brakes unless it really does need to.

The pre collision alert can be a bit too aggressive, though. It sometimes picks up cross traffic or things in other lanes. With that said it's saved my bacon at least twice with having started braking before I was able to react.

Awesome! It sounds like Ford has developed a very good system. I've heard horror stories about other manufacturers adaptive cruise going wonky and making it more of a hassle to use.

My Tucson will be paid off in June, so that will give me quite a hefty down payment on a new BS. I'll probably wait and see what changes the 2025 model refresh will bring to the table before I pull the trigger.

Waiting for a refresh is a good idea just for the infotainment system if nothing else. It should get updated and the current one is fine, but not great.

Like others have already said, make sure you pay for the extra tech package to get 360+ instead of the basic "360". That's the one with the true lane centering and other features you're after. It's not a huge amount, and I find it worth it.

I agree with most comments that 360+ adds desirable safety features, particularly on highway driving with traffic.
It is heavy-footed on the brake when someone cuts into your traffic lane.
Especially worrisome if the person behind is following too closely.
Dashboard indicators for in-lane traffic ahead are not seamless between 360 and 360+ when 360+ is turned on but not engaged (cruise control).
Subaru EyeSight is much easier to use, more advanced, has seamless integration, and is standard on most Subaru models (including Ascent, Outback, and Forester). It has been out for years.
Another win for the Ford accountants.:frown:

I like the Adaptive Cruise Control and the features that go with it,
I consider the CO-PILOT360 ASSIST to be just that an assist.
Things can happen too fast for the BS to react. It works great under
regular highway driving, but I still stay alert for what other vehicles
are doing around me

Just an FYI, people are absolutely correct that that little black box about 10 inches below the front grille (and, if installed, directly above the front license plate bracket) is the adaptive cruise center, and if it's blocked by snow or ice, it won't necessarily direct the blockage (and won't work).

Fun surprise Wednesday morning... when I got back home I cleared the ice off with a snow brush (front license plate bracket acted like a shelf for snow/ice to collect in front of the sensor). Worked perfectly again.

After more than a year of ownership, I decided to use the intelligent/adaptive cruise control system in morning traffic in Chicago. I 290 inbound to downtown from the 'burbs. It's a total gamechanger. I set the initial speed with traffic flow and then ratcheted up. Braking was a little aggressive but was easily mitigated by finding the comfortable spacing distance for me. All in all, a great aid in rush hour traffic.
