Minor, but annoying. 1. I went out of my way to get a red BS, yet I have to look at a blue one on my info screen. Any way to change it? For 45K, Ford could be accommodating. 2. Who was in charge of the rear wiper switch? On my 2013 Mazda, I have a rotating know the controls the rear wiper. It took forever and the owners manual to even find this one. Six months in, I still have trouble figuring it out. 3. The big hump on the rear hatch. I know why it is there and what it does, but a quick look in the rear view mirror and I still think someone is behind me. Other than these, I'm overall pretty happy. :)

Yes, the rear window hump is annoying and unnecessary. You don’t see it on other vehicles with similar wipers.
Other things you might find annoying, stepping out the car with the keyfob in your pocket and the engine running as you do when backing up with a trailer , or nipping out to get the mail, whatever, the car rudely toots its horn at you. OK you say leave the key fob in the car then it locks the driver side door on you if you’re gone too long how stupid is that?
The crazy rotary gear shifter in stupid location, how much I wanted to give the car back because of that. Pita when shifting fwd to rev parking or with trailer.
it should have a switch to turn off these door open function for off-road use .
Going over bumps and having the car go beep beep!
collision warning dash activation when a car ahead has pulled into a side road and is out of your way!
cruise control that holds the brake on when it slowed you down behind a car in the highway and won’t release brake/speed until you have pulled out into the faster lane !
the whole ‘clever’ ford electronics is annoying. But probably same on all fords!
The parts they left off going from its model yr 2021 to 2022!
Low tow rating that is much higher on the maverick truck build on same platform (supposedly different transmission mapping ⁉). (2200# vs 3600#) !
Cheers Warren

My ‘25 Badlands doesn’t beep the horn when I get out with the keys in my pocket. There is a momentary chime. I don’t know how often it sounds, but I only hear it once before moving away from the car.

That's weird. Ford has that enabled on all vehicles by default. There is a way to turn it off with FORScan.

Definitely not enabled on all Ford vehicles. Mine does exactly as he said to soft chimes inside no horn beeps. 2025 Big Bend.

I guess it is a US vehicle spec thing then. Still not sure why his does not do it.

Definitely not a US vehicle spec thing either. I've rented many vehicles traveling to the US including a bronco sport, and I've never heard a horn beep when you get out with the key or leaving the key fob in the vehicle. The most you ever get is a chime. So I'm not sure where you're getting your data from.

No, the horn honks when you exit the vehicle while leaving it running and take the key WITH you.

That's what I meant to say I fixed it. I've never had that happen at all. And I've rented many vehicles mostly Fords so it's definitely not an American spec,it's not in the Canadian spec.

Haaa! I got the Eruption Green and you have to drive in Eco mode to see the green vehicle. I thought it would be cool too if the screen matched the paint. Never gave the hump much thought. Thanks for sticking that in my brain.....
