Thread is kinda old and after reading thru all 14 pages have we come to the conclusion if ForScan CAN enable the global windows up/down? Also curious it’s possible to put the speed limit sign on the dash as well for the BS that doesn’t have the 360 Assist+…

I have as of yet to get global windows to work. As far as I know it should work with the PP module and forscan . I have tried several tweaks no luck.

I've never heard of that brand, but that doesn't mean it won't work. It's rated well on Amazon, so there's that. I've got an OBDLink product, and I haven't had any issues with it. I bought it a few years back before they got really popular. The Bluetooth version is pricey.

I have the same wired OBDLink product as Mark posted and it works great.

Bluetooth sounds nice but read about the downsides of going with a Bluetooth product. Although many people like them, I’m wary of Bluetooth disconnects as data is being written (with its possible data corruption side affect).

DISCO! Was able to achieve only the Speed Limit sign to show on dash on my BS Big Bend without having the Assits360+ or whatever it’s called package.

It does leave a line under the compass reading/heading but that’s tolerable.

I do wished I did add that package when I ordered my BB. I know I can’t get the first 3 options as I don’t have the hardware and NOT modding my vehicle just for that lol

Was able to achieve it by enabling Traffic Sign Recognition in the IPC Module, IPMA Module, and APMI Module - although not sure if this was necessary as it didn’t put the menu/option to turn it On/Off on the display under Settings/Driver Assist.

I’m sure more is needed to be enable to get the menu, but right now I’m content.

I’m away from cable and Forscan program, but will post pics of everything I enabled.

Got our Sport last night! yay!

Plugged in Forscan this morning! Saved the profile for my Bronco Sport Outer Banks and backed up all my factory module configurations.

The good news. The only module using central configuration is the Sync module. Within this I was able to enable the climate controls and heated steering wheel functions to the main sync display. Not earth shattering but gives another control option as opposed to looking down at the manual controls below. There might be some other things I could enable, but will do a little research before I start messing with anything else.

The bad news. Looks like everything else is old school configuration. Ok, this might not be so bad, but it will be more complicated to figure out which line controls what and what to change, so there's going to be a lot of cross referencing from other models for similar codes resulting in a lot of trial and error which is going to take some time.

For now the wish list for myself is the annoying double honk when you leave the car with the fob while running, Bambi mode and seeing what else is hidden away in the IPC module for the main dash display.
This does give me a bit of hope for some other customizations I had on my old Fusion that we couldn't do on the 2017 Escape. Examples on the Fusion I had enabled rear daytime running lights (this should be mandatory with DRL, I see too many cars at night or bad weather with no tail lights on), increased the signal count of the lane change flash from 3-5 blinks among a few others.

In the mean time, I think we will just enjoy it stock

how did you change the blink speed? which module was it in? can you share the steps plz

I also have a ForScan tool and the Extended License ForScan software (2.3.38 beta) but it's very limited what I can do on the 2010 Ford Escape. It does NOT have a BCM, just the GEM, so very few things can be changed. I think Escapes might have gotten BCMs from 2011 onwards. There you can do all that stuff that the F150 crowd does.

On the 2014 Mazda6 very little info is available, I didn't even try to mess with it. (ForScan also works with Mazdas)

On the 2010 Escape Limited I was able to disable TPMS sensor failure warning/TPMS, enable DRL, and read the touch pad entry factory code (didn't know it as i got the car used).
There's also a "perimeter alarm" which is "disabled" - IDK what that really does. And of course I can read DTCs and clear them etc and read all kinds of real time data.

On the ForScan forum it seems F150 and other Ford trucks has the most extensive lists of hex codes for the BCM As built options.
The Most common / popular mods seem to be bambi mode, disable double honk, global windows, and moving certain "hard button" controls to the touch screen

I hope there will be a section someday for BS on the Forscan forum OR here where we can contribute and build an excel sheet for all the hex codes in the BCM AS-BUILT stuff. Also hoping that most common hex codes for BCM as-built will be the same as 2020/2021 Ford trucks.

What I personally would like to do with ForScan when I get my BS:
- Enable Bambi mode (fog lights AND high beams on at the same time - can be good on rural roads, IF the fogs actually do illuminate the road.... they're TINY on the B/S)
- Enable Global Windows (Can move windows up or down with regular key fob remotely)
- Choose which lights/bulbs are used for DRLs
- Enable tail lights ON when DRLs on (not sure if this is even possible)
- Move some "hard button" controls to the touch screen

the “double honk” is in the BdyCM (NOT as-built one) and scroll down to it (alphabetical order), highlight cell, click Edit, change to Disabled, then click Write. Cycle ignition.
