Back Glass Replacement

I recently became the victim of a car break in ( the second time in less than a year) but this time lost thousands of dollars worth of property.

it’s the worst feeling and such a violation but I need to get my bronco sport back to how it was prior to the vandalism.

does anyone have any leads or recommendations for acquiring the back glass? Satellite quoted me a lot more than I can afford and my insurance won’t cover it unfortunately so I have to pay out of pocket.

if anyone knows of any Bronco sports sitting in a junk heard or know good places to find uses glass or affordable replacement I’d greatly appreciate it.

For context, a brand new oem just glass replacement is almost $800 (if I was looking at the correct part # anyways)

Have you tried your local Auto Glass shop? Should be plenty in the Atlanta area. Most non-safelite auto glass shops should be able to help but none will be cheaper than buying a used one from a scrap yard or EBay assuming there’s one local to Atlanta to pick up rather than ship.

I had to pay $720 out of pocket for a windshield at slightly over 2 months old. I got comprehensive insurance after that. I'm on Social Security so I can't afford full coverage.

One may purchase coverage for liability only, If no lien exists on the car. Vandalism and theft are part of comprehensive coverage. Not automatically included in a liability only policy.

not everywhere, even in Canada weather theft and vandalism varies between provinces whether it is part of comprehensive or not. for example when I was young I lived in Alberta and it was all grouped together, then I joined the military and moved to BC and found out when my truck got stolen that theft and vandalism wasn't part of comprehensive and no one had told me. so even with comprehensive you have to look and see what it covers.
