I'm not impressed with the auto dimming headlights.

I owned a 2006 Cadillac and I never had a problem with them, they came on and off as expected. This bronco sport doesn't seem to be calibrated as well. The high beams go on and off at seemingly random times.

Has anyone had a good experience with them?

Didn't like them when I first got the car. Same issues as you. I like it's function on open, straight road especially so when oncoming traffic is steady but not constant. The newer high-vis signage wreaks havoc on them though so my overall satisfaction is road dependent.

You mean the auto high beam. It works well for us, I enabled ahb fade on and off with forscan to give the car a more luxury feel, and hopefully extend the life of the leds.

I swear I've even seen just one side turn off at a time as we were going around a curve as it senced the oncoming cars headlights.

I can't stand this feature. I also don't like many features though where the car decides what it should do versus what I would do myself. In my experience the high beams come on and off so much that I feel like I'm flashing my lights at oncoming traffic.

I think if I was driving in a more rural environment it'd be something I'd use though.

My headlights auto dimming feature works well. I've not had anyone driving in the opposite direction do the quick flash that would indicate I'm blinding them. Just when I think the headlights should switch from high beam to low beam they do, no problem.

I like the feature. Large reflective road signs will trigger them to low beam but that does not bother me. I would like this feature on my Jeep as well.

I live in rural TN. In fact, the road I live on is a one-lane blacktop (in my book that's a physical oxy-moron). My gravel driveway is a quarter mile long off the one-lane. I never go over 19 MPH on either. Although I love the auto-dim/bright feature, I really, really need it when navigating these hills in the country when it's unsafe to go 20 MPH. Switchback curves and wildlife require 100% of my attention. It would be nice if I didn't have to manage the lights as well.

Don't want to hijack the thread but are the headlights adjustable?

On Lo beam, there is a harsh line at the upper range of their reach. I'd like to see it I can't cast that out a little further.

My guess is that they probably are adjustable.

Use the feature alot as we live rurally. Works fine 99% of the time, however some bright yard lights close to the road seem turn them off occasionally
