Most dealers don’t do their own glass work. It’s normally subcontracted out. My brother own his own glass shop and did a lot of work for body shops and dealerships.
That’s how I found the glass shop that did mine — I asked the dealer who does their glass work. As luck would have it, one of the glass guys was leaving the dealership at that exact moment, so I was able to get the info directly.

I got "rocked" and it cracked the windshield big time. My insurance company contacted Safelite, they came right out and fixed everything including the reprogramming for zero out of pocket. (Check your policies!) I was expecting some off brand glass but Safelite used the Ford!

One year of ownership… filled four pebble cracks… then got another pebble crack 3 inches long, and also two 12 plus inch cracks that resulted from something so tiny, it doesn’t warrant the saying “Stone Chip”!
It’s not about the Rake angle, or following too close, or any of it!
The Windshield on the Bronco Sport is “Garbage” to put it politely!
My “Built Ford Tough” “Off Road Capable” “Bronco Sport” is not suitable as a highway commuter vehicle because of “Poor Quality Glass
Sorry people, I love mine too, but the windshield kind of Killed it!
Replacement cost $900. plus and just a matter of time!

I went online and found a 5 star rated window repair shop...an hour away.
I've had nightmare issues with glass replacement in the past.
Yes I traveled and glad I did. They were super nice, very careful with Bronco. Body protection, several measurements during and after to make sure the glass was set perfectly. Cleaned everything very well.
I did use the Ford Glass and it cost just over $900 but it looks perfect and factory new.
Yes I'd certainly do it again and will use for any glass replacement in the future.

Less than 1600 miles on my Badlands and 2 chips directly in front of my line of site from a rock on the highway.
Thought it wasn't going to be a big deal but it is driving me crazy. Had a windshield guy try to fill but it is still totally noticable and really distracting in day or night driving.
Anyone replaced windshield yet?
How much was it?
2000.00 in Canada. I'm going in for my forth one in 2 years. 200.00 insurance deductible. Never seen a windshield crack so easily and often

A coworker of mine replaced 3 windshields on his Jeep CJ in one year! No rural driving, mostly highways where it happened.
That big flat windshield on the Jeep cannot deflect anything tossed up at it.

On our 2021 we got a rock chip during covid lockdowns. Price quoted was $4800 for the windshield because it's an "intelligent" windshield. Didn't care, got $500 deductible. The boat carrying windshields from china sank in the fall of 2022 so we had to wait 8 more months to get a windshield. Drove with the cracked one, didn't bother me. Got the new one installed, they did the sensors calibrations because "it;s part of it" (again, don't care, insurance) and when it was all said and done the bill was $2100 and I paid $500 deductible.....then 9 months later I wrote it off......

Jeeps and Hummer flat glass are known for that. My 2018 Mercedes with same kms still has original glass.

It's just luck.
The Bronco Sport windshield is not really that upright compared to many older vehicles. I replaced one windshield on my'84 VW Rabbit GTI in the 10 years that I owned it. I'd say the windshield on the VW GTI was about the same angle as the BS.
VW Beetles had flat windshields (excluding Super Beetles) and neither of my 2 brothers nor I ever had to replace a windshield on our Bugs.

Agreed. I would go through about 1 every 2 years on my F150. 4 in 2 years is really unlucky. It seems like tiny pebbles that bounced off of truck windshield cracks the Bronco windshield. Most cracks occurred in the winter on my truck because of all the gravel/sand they cover the roads with. Bronco isn't even driven in the snow because we go south with it.

I have to replace the windshield because of a tiny rock that hit about a half inch from the edge on the drivers side and it cracked almost all the way across the windshield. I do not have Comprehensive so I have to pay out of pocket.

This glass is made in Mexico. Very thin I got hit with a pretty big rock in my RAM 2500 and it caused a Bullseye, I fixed it with a kit from Autozone. This chip was about the size of a ball point pen tip.

This.

The glass quality in the Bronco Sport is no better or worse than that of the multiple FJ Cruiser windshields I've had to replace, or the F-350 windshield that catches a ton of rocks, or the Mini Cooper glass that split while being too aggressive cleaning bugs off of it in the sun.

Crap happens. Sometimes it just happens repeatedly to the same people.
